(Ugh. Thanks for the 404 error right after typing the whole post. Here we go again)

Just got back from the DuPage show with a few goodies. Traded the Revell '30 A for a Moebius '65 Belvedere I; lo and behold the body is straight - so I may do the four-door conversion myself. Also picked up a set of Jo-Han Royal Lancers from Okey Spaulding, a near-mint unbuilt Pyro '32 Pierce Arrow convertible for $3(!), and something I'd heard of but never seen: a set of Auto World Auto Hinges from 1963. The instructions show someone successfully opening the doors and trunk of an AMT '49 Ford with an Auto Cutter . They're nicely made wire hinges with styrene retainers, and I'm looking forward to needlessly complicating adding detail to one of my projects with them.

The price on the sticker is $21.99. I haven't opened the box yet, nor taken the receipt out of the bag. If it turns out the price was wrong, I'll take it back for adjustment. Thanks for the heads-up. B)

MSRP at Stevens is $23.95 for it, so that's the correct price.

Yeah, I did some google-shopping and most prices I saw seemed to be in that range. So I guess it's "right." Wow.

This one came in the mail today. I've had it on an  eBay search for a long time. Finally one with a reasonable Buy It Now so I grabbed it!   Taking a quick look in the box, this appears to be a very nice kit.  The body is flawless!

Now I want one! That would make a fabulous street rod.

Picked up all of this, plus a sealed Lindberg 37 Cord for $10. Not sure what kit or kits all of the pieces in the pile go to but there are a few parts to a brass era car.

I was thinking about bashing the front of the built Cord to the rear of the built Auburn for a four pontoon fendered car. May look interesting.

I wonder why it wasn't included in Heller's recent reissue spree.
Well, it will be now, since you shelled out for one on eBay...

I live to serve the hobby!  :o   But I didn't get nicked too bad, it was about $40 delivered.  I wasn't sure if it wasn't in Heller's current catalog, or just not sold in the USA.

People love to complain about the old Pyro/Lindberg Cord and Auburn (and the '48 Lincoln). But, I found them to be a lot easier to built build than the MPC '28 Lincoln. I've just always found the phaeton version of that kit fussy to build. Especially things like the folding jump seats.

As for the JoHan Caddy. I too just added that exact same kit to my collection in the last few weeks. I haven't done much with mine yet. But, I'm liking what I'm seeing in the box so far.

Show me where Heller kits are sold.

I can't find them anywhere in England, a friend of mine can't find them anywhere in Germany
and I was recently in France, a wad of €€€s in my wallet and guess what!

It's no wonder they go bust with that business model.

Are you sure you are not married to an Alien? Next thing you are going to say is that, she likes going to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. LOL  Great catch by the way.

Thanks, she's an Angel, and she LOVES Silver lake!!!

Appropriate considering today's weather. -_-

Sunny and 84 degrees sure ain't snowmobile weather, but that looks like a pretty cool kit (no pun intended).

I have been chasing this grail for a few years. I finally stepped up to the price. It came in pieces and am happy about that. The Seller removed them so they would not break off. It should be easy to reassemble. No broken or missing parts. The build is actually very clean with a little detail added.
