Tom Geiger Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Per the eBay coupon.. I used mine on a $50 purchase, which was an order of several lower priced items from the same vendor. And most of it was sitting as won auctions from before I got the coupon, as I waited for the last item to finish up.
matthijsgrit Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Ebay score. Very happy. Simple kit, but the livery makes it special to me. Mint!! Any extra background info on the real car would be greatly appreciated!!
niteowl7710 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 It's a presentation car from when Nissan introduced the R32 GT-R as a Group A race car for the Japanese Touring Championship to replace the R31 GTS-R (as kitted by Hasegawa in 2018).

And it looks to be complete and untouched from 1949! Anybody know much about these or collect them? Later- The Hudson Miniatures were basically the first product from what would eventually become Auto World. IIRC, more plastic components appeared in these kits once the Gowland/Revell Highway Pioneers series appeared, but I can't remember if they ever went to full plastic models in this series.

I've seen these before but this is the first one I've gotten. It will be a nice display piece as it is. Later-
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 At least 98% complete, unmolested, with only minor tire burn on a couple of parts. This is a "grail" kit I've been after for years.

Deuces ll Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I do have the Indy pace car version of that kit....

If I said I had a plan for it, somebody would just make a comment about me never finishing anything. And anyway, I have no plan for it whatsoever. Never thought I'd find one complete and un-buggered, so I never thought too much about it. For now, it's joined the ranks of the very few kits I bought solely for nostalgia's sake to take out and look at occasionally, and let my mind go back to a much better time. Whatcha gonna do with the aqua one? It looks to be in pretty good shape. Edited September 2, 2020 by Ace-Garageguy

I had one eons ago, but it got away and I never really thought I'd get another one. This one's nicer than I'd ever expected to find, but I have no idea what I'd ever build from it...though that bubble top is calling to me... Edited September 2, 2020 by Ace-Garageguy

Clean it up, polish the plastic, do the chrome trim, carefully reassemble it and display it as the proud period survivor that it is. Maybe right next to my "Badman"-based gasser.
Deuces ll Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 That's what we need is more gasser builds with scratch built front ends and what not....?? Wishful thinking, huh????.....?
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 These Lindberg built-ups arrived today too. I've been using another one as a practice base for the Archer rivet transfers, and was just about to start one, opening the major panels and swapping in guts from the poorly proportioned Aurora/ Monogram E-type. There was a real kit-car of the D-type built on E-type guts, so it's a reasonable idea. With two ratty ones to hack up, I can keep the nice ones nice until inspiration hits...or I die.

niteowl7710 Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 (edited) Received the other two decal sheets currently available from LB Production today. Some very cool AMG & Audi R8 GT3 liveries coming over the next few months. These are for the NuNu M6, which needs a few minor changes to reflect it's earlier use in GT LM, he does include a scale template for changing the winglet end plates which is a nice touch. Deuces ll Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Just came in via U.S.P.S.,... Thank you Warren's Hobbies!!!!
Deuces ll Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Cool!... Your gonna love that Nova kit...??
ChrisBcritter Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 (edited) The '61 Lark friction promo landed safely today; shaved off a bit of flash around the taillights and that was that. I'll fix the rear bumper later. Too bad Jo-Han only made them as kits in '62, and that the earlier promo molds didn't turn up when the USA Oldies came out. Edited September 4, 2020 by ChrisBcritter
hedotwo Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Picked up a trio of 60's over the past few months. I also picked up resin taillights for the Dodge from Acme Resin and they're great.
ChrisBcritter Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Great old Dodge - did you go for Acme's rear bumper/backup light conversion?
