Great old Dodge - did you go for Acme's rear bumper/backup light conversion?

Didn't know about it.  I suppose it adds clear backup lights?  Bumper the same as stock?  Mine seems decent other than needing rechroming.

Big Neighborhood Yard Sale Day! No kits or glue bombs but I did score a like-new (possibly never used) Dremel drill press thingie for $5. There have been times when I really could have used one of these for some random modeling project.

Do you realize what this means? Now that I have one, it means that never in my life will I EVER need one again, or even be able to come up with a good use for it. Ain't it always the way!

Is that Dremel drill press the type that holds the drill in one position, and moves the table up and down?  I had one of those, just couldn't get used to it.  I was lucky to sell it for about what I paid for it.

Got the new issue ‘32 Chrysler Imperial and an unbuilt complete ‘70s issue ‘32 Chrysler 4dr convertible in the mail today.

Also this afternoon from Amazon came the new Tim Boyd Drag Racing model book.

Aha, I had a bid on that one early on. Is it similar to the others in the series, quite basic but looks like it would build up nicely?

Yeah its a very simple kit and i probably paid too much for it since my plan is a x pack kit and cossie engine on some wide wheels. I tried what I think is a 80s mustang chassis under it and it should fit with a little trimming. I'll not be using the kit headlights either as i like the early mk2 square lights better so the spares from the belkits mk1 escort will be used instead. I'm going to have to reshape the bumpers too so they are more uk spec mk2 versions but it should be pretty simple to thin them down.

Today I got garbage!  Absolute garbage!

Also the AMT '60 Ranchero with Coke chest, and an MPC Dodge Monaco CHP.  I have a Plymouth Fury grille and taillights, to possibly build it as LAPD instead of CHP.

It’s amazing the stuff out there, and that we all want to build the set of garbage pails! I’d buy them too!

I'm a bit, okay, completely gobsmacked and still need to change my shorts. I drop that I build models to a guy who says "You should come see my garage".  $327 (that I totally should not have spent) later, I'm in a loaded car on my way home. He was on his I-phone the whole time looking up prices "That ones up to $190, give me $20 for it". A lot of them were $5. Unbelievable. There are some serious holy grails in these piles for me. This could be the pinnacle score of my model building history. 33 kits @ an average of $9.90, nine dollars and ninety cents each.

We hate you. ?  That's awesome, not just any pile of models, but some scarce ones.  That Auto Union, seen pictures when I was doing research, it's a very nice kit.

I've never been happy with my Dremel, seems to be off center.  So when a friend posted on Fakebook that he is working an estate sale, spotted a familiar box.  I think my first one was like this, instructions are 1992.  Also got the flex-shaft, router attachment (never opened), and the tiny drill box that is complete.  $30.

Wow! Not just any old kits you have there. I built a 1/32nd scale Auto Union a long time ago because that was all I could find. Didn't know there was a big one out there. Happy for your score.

Incredible score!  I've never seen that 1/20 scale Auto Union either. Those old Aoshima Vintage Bikes are a great find, too.

Stopped by the LHS for a couple of the new releases.

Also shipped over a small box of items that had been languishing at my Yahoo! Japan Auctions proxy bidder. Still no mail service between here and there and DHL is pretty pricey. Decals are some unobtanium OOP items.
