Scored a "junkyard" of '66-'67 Falcon goodies. Looks to be enough good parts to get three cars together, plus there's an extra chassis and interior, and looks like enough custom parts to build a full custom out of the '69 Falcon dirt tracker I've been wondering what to do with. Paid more for the lot than I've ever spent on a model before, BUT there's the potential to get FOUR models out of the deal, making the whole price quite reasonable. B)

Sounds like a classic bit of man maths there......

With huge thanks to @stitchdup I got this in the post:

With no chassis and a few other parts missing it could never be restored and built-up without a donor.

Luckily I have this brush-painted gluebomb complete with some of the optional parts. Out of the two of them I should have sufficient to build a decent road car and then have enough remnants left over to build a RWD converted short oval/autocross racer (basically anything that doesn't need glass, an interior or a vaguely accurate chassis).

Thanks Les!

Nice - was it that three car auction on eBay? I was watching that one, actually sold for a decent price considering it looked like one was painted but otherwise unmolested. That gen Falcon has been selling for pretty good money lately.

Yeah that didn't work.  Auction stuff too mice to pass up.  Averaged out about $36/each with shipping

Jo-han - all open but complete

Middle pic - open but complete

Matador & Bad Actor - still sealed

Probably the one you saw. One painted, two bare, but one with enlarged rear wheel openings. Looks like a LOT of fun for the money!

Used the 40% off kits at HL to grab this and the mister surfacer was the 40% coupon today.  They had a NEW shipment of Modelmaster jars so I got two to go.

Got my Pace Industries paint booth today. I'm happy to get something not only U.S. built but also made here in Ohio. I'm super excited to use it and be able to rattle can and use big spray heads on the airbrush indoors, but I've worked 30 hours in 2 days so it won't be tonight.

If you mix the leftovers with a mk escort kit you build an rs1700t!

You won’t regret buying this! I’ve had mine since September and kicked myself for not doing it sooner. I use rattle cans with mine without issue, just get some extra filters cheap before you need them.

I bought a cheap light set at Walmart. Self adhesive strips, but I need some better adhesive.  Plugged both lights and booth into a power strip so they come on together.

The Mrs picked this up the other day for herself, but muggins here is the one who has to build it. She thinks it's punishment for me stealing her kitchen table, so I tried to look sad!   Hahahahahaha!!.. oops, Shhhhh!! sad face, sad face! xD

A  good friend gave me these today. He had a 1:1 '66 Chevelle SS in marina blue back in the day so I be building this one for him to match. I doubt I'll be building the Countach-it looks pretty cheesy!

Finally made it to my local Michael's today and was able to use the gift card I got for Christmas. With the card and a 30 percent discount only cost be $18 for the two.

I've heard that particular MPC Charger kit is enough for some people to pack up the hobby! That Peterbilt though is an awesome kit.

I've built a few of them back when it was the General Lee kit, needed work back then and definitely hasn't improved since. Got something there i can work with at least.

I have been thinking of getting one myself just for the challenge. There's a great sense of achievement when a bad kit turns out good.

Got this delivered from eBay today. It was so neat I had to buy it. Whoever made it did a good job on the body work. Now to clean it up and put it back together.
