Oh man... nice haul. There's a couple in there I'd love to add to mine

These came yesterday, the Camaro is from C1, ordered that about 2 months ago. Either they changed the mold or it's becoming wore out. Body is generally of similar quality, more flash (none on my first purchase) and it's significantly thinner and flexible.

While I was out running errands,I stopped by Michaels here in town to see what they had. There were only 3 models on the shelves and this was the only car they had?so for 30% off,it followed me home.

I got this Robbo's Resin Body today. It's a White 7000 that was supposed to be designed by Leading truck Maintenance Experts. While not a wildly popular truck I don't believe, as a 12-13 year old kid in 1977-78 I got to ride in one of these pretty regular and to me it was beautiful. So this will be a very sentimental build for me.Screenshot_20240816_123533_MyCollections.thumb.jpg.33a5f82be4fdfb353429d9b975988f6f.jpg

Picked these 2 wall displays today. One has a very light scratch on the front. Might be able to polish it out. Never hung. $120 for both.

Oops, can’t read the box in the photo.? It is a Fujimi Toyota Sports 800. I didn’t know of the cars existence till today. And it looks to be complete and unstarted except for a couple parts taken off the trees.? Cool little video here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQiybrmwHyA

Here it is next to a Mazda MX-5. They are both 1/24 scale.

Yeah, if one didn’t  know better, you would swear it was 1/32 scale….but it’s not. Now I’m itching to build it.?

The 2000GT made its most famous screen appearance in the 1967 James Bond movie You Only Live Twice, most of which was filmed in Japan. Two one-off topless models - fitted only with tonneau covers to simulate functioning convertible roofs - were made specially for the film. It is claimed a targa had been considered to accommodate the burly 6' 2" Sean Connery. This retained the original car's fastback profile but eliminated rear side windows. Purportedly, Connery's head stuck out of the top and a roofless version was fabricated in just two weeks for the movie. The car was mainly driven by Bond girlfriend Aki (Akiko Wakabayashi) in the film”

The 2000GT is a completely different car from the S800, although the front end has some similarities.
