Two kits from this week's mail delivery. Both kits were on my watch list and both were offered to me at a reduction in their posted prices. Couldn't pass them up.

Keep an eye open for the MPC version of the Jaguar kit. Same kit but it will have chrome as the Airfix does not. Did take well to my off brand chome pens though. Be careful removing small bits from the sprue. That leaping cat hood ornament is veerrrrry tiny.

I got a surprise at CVS. I stop by periodically to check their diecasts. Usually there's nothing interesting. This time they had something really great. It's a Welly Jeep/Willys truck in 1/24th. Looks pretty accurate. I put it right to work delivering a crate to Professor Jameson Hyde White.

I had a swap table at Desert Scale.  Sold more kits than I bought, and this was a great deal.  Also got toggle switches, just about used up the first pack.

Picked this one up fairly reasonable, but not a steal. A complete kit with the cellophane still on the top half.

That's the only game in town for that car of course, but it's not a well proportioned kit.

I started marking one up for cutting to accurize it, got far enough along to know it IS possible to make it look like a GT6, and put it away until I had more time.

I though so too, although I was never fond of them as a kid and had to ride on one. So many themes could be used, maybe NNL or bust!

Would like to see you build that bus, Mike!

A find from a couple of weeks ago; found it at a thrift shop. I believe it is an International and assuming it is close to 1/25, wheelbase scales out to 158”. Lights, sound, batteries and friction drive. Couldn’t pass it up at less than $5. Coronet for size.

Went to the IPMS show Saturday and vending was mostly air/military but it is always a good place for tools and supplies. But Juha Airio was over from Finland with a few of his resin kits. The 67 Polara is the one he mastered for All American some 25+ years ago but now w p-e emblems. I've been looking on eBay for a long time, but even sub-par illicit copies tend to bring silly money. But now I have one!  The Olds was new last year and is a heavy conversion of the 67 Impala.

So now it looks like I'm on a heavy equipment jag?  :D

Arrived today. After exhausting all avenues to find this in Styrene, resin or 3D I broke down and spent way too much money on what seems to be the last black diecast Dodge Omni GLH on the planet. I want to take it out of the package to display it, but it is sealed, and I cannot bring myself to do so........ Yet.

If I open it, and couple things that would need to be addressed is tires. The tires are way too big, and the wheels need more shine. Also, I noticed the hood has no intercooler vent.

Had and built the '79 issue as a kid but I always liked the '70's original boxart. So I did the next best thing. Got me a sealed 2014 issue at a reasonable price.
