A co-worker came into the shop yesterday and handed me all of this. Paasche VL (nice and clean ) and two air hoses. Said he's had it sitting around unused for several years and has a couple others that he uses off and on.

I already used it this morning for my next paint job!

Later-

Wonder if it was a limited run because the mold lost locator pins or something?

It was a limited run because RevellAG whacked the roof off to make a Cabriolet in a very permanent way. Which is why the Cabrio has been reissued, but there was only ever a single run of the Coupe. They did the same thing with the 8 Series BMW in a time before people wrapped their minds around not destroying things to make other things out of them.

Got this one yesterday, I'm just going to start one of the little grey Fergies, I need to get hold of some Ferguson old red paint to paint the FF-30, I've got a few bottles of Ferguson grey.

The three tweezers came from one of my suppliers ( Dave Coley) as a free gift

I was fortunate and blessed to have the opportunity to go on a spending spree at Hobby Lobby, and lucky that they still had 40% off unlimited model kits still going on. They were actually kind of picked over, but I still managed to find a bunch that I have been wanting for a while. The one near me has a decent selection (at least in my opinion) and even though the '65 Foose Impala, Revell '68 Charger 2'n1, '32 Ford 2'n1, '66 GTO, and Kenworth W-900 were sold out, I still was able to snag all of these. The '69 Camaro and '83 Hurst/Olds were bought at Michaels for $13 and $14 respectively after their 20% off all regular priced items. After this spree, I probably won't be able to buy any more kits for about another year, but boy did I have fun, LOL!! My wife even talked me into the Grease Ford, the AMT Shelby Mustang and the AMT '70 Chevelle, and yes, there were still some kits left on the shelf when I was done, lol.

I had a bunch of packages arrive today - nice Mail day!

Wanted to build this variation of the Revell 32s for a while:

A while back I picked up a whole stack of Monogram 32 Ford (the tool before the one above) bodies, fenders and engines but I was missing most of the rest of the parts...eBay parts lot to the rescue!

Got what I need to build one of those older roadsters now at least...

Whenever I’m scratchbuilding I always seem to be short on axles (front and rear) and engines so I found a junkyard lot of those, and a tonne of other parts too:

And then finally my wife surprised me with a nice framed photo she took of our local hot rod hang out diner:

Made out like a bandit today! ???

Great score!  Especially that Revell '32 Ford Highboy roadster.  That kit seems even harder to find than the Revell '32 Ford Sedan.  I lurked on eBay for months, trying to get a Highboy at a decent price.  They were all expensive, had high shipping costs or both.  One night last year, I saw one for $15.00 plus $7.00 shipping, Buy It Now.  Jumped right on it!

Warning for newer modelers:  Revell re-issued the old Monogram '32 Ford roadster, from the early 1960's, in a "Classic Cruisers" box. The box-top says "1:25 scale."  It's not, it is 1:24 scale and a very simple kit with no real chassis (the suspension attaches directly to the fenders).  It does have some nice parts and many people like it, for a simple nostalgia build.  But if you want the newer Highboy kit, make sure you get the kit shown in CabDriver's post. Or any kit with "Highboy" on the box.

If you're looking for the Highboy roadster, this is the '32 Ford you DON'T want to get:

Set of decals for the BeemaNuNu 935 K3 I've been after for awhile. Not sure if it was a limited run because of licensing, or a lack thereof, but a lot of places (like HLJ) never even stocked it because of Studio27's habit of doing 500pc runs.

Not a model this time, but it seemed Revell didn't like the old cutting mat in the background of my photographs, so they sent me a nice new clean one

Wow! That's a nice gift, Geoff! From you, or did they comp you? :)

Revell UK have been pretty good to me over the years, free kits to build for magazine reviews, which I get to keep after I've built them and photographed them, every year they send me a free catalogue,  the cutting mat was a nice gift from them.

Yes! I need a couple of them!  One as a camper and one to build as a memory..

it came up recently on the Pirmasens Germany US Army Post board on Facebook. Back when I lived on the post from 1969-72 there was Pete the vegetable man who drove around post, especially near the housing areas and even near our school selling vegetables, fruit and candy.

As a kid we bought Haribo brand Gummi candy (marketed as Gummy in the USA). Aside from the trademark bears, there were other flavors and shapes, some as loose candy. Pete would count them out into a paper cone.

As you have figured by now, Pete vended from a green and white window van. I’d like to build it.
