Yes! I need a couple of them!  One as a camper and one to build as a memory..

it came up recently on the Pirmasens Germany US Army Post board on Facebook. Back when I lived on the post from 1969-72 there was Pete the vegetable man who drove around post, especially near the housing areas and even near our school selling vegetables, fruit and candy.

As a kid we bought Haribo brand Gummi candy (marketed as Gummy in the USA). Aside from the trademark bears, there were other flavors and shapes, some as loose candy. Pete would count them out into a paper cone.

As you have figured by now, Pete vended from a green and white window van. I’d like to build it.

its a nice looking kit Tom, I have it in front of me and will be posting the contents when i have my camera handy. Even before opening the box i was impressed by the weight of it and the molding is good.

Not a model this time, but it seemed Revell didn't like the old cutting mat in the background of my photographs, so they sent me a nice new clean one

I’ve been eyeing this in Michael’s for a couple of weeks and finally broke down today - I’ve been wanting a lit display case and this fit the bill...$65 instead of $130 provided I ordered online but collected in store:

Looks cool on the wall!  I want to add some brackets underneath tomorrow to support it to make sure we don’t have any issues, but I’m pleased with it!

I'm going to have to check that out. Looks really nice. Especially with that sweet ride on display.

That is REALLY Nice. In my late teens, one of my best buddies had a ‘69 Beaumont,(same body style, ’68 and ‘69 only). Later in my 20’s I bought a ‘69 Chevelle to restore...but unfortunately I was living in an apartment at the time and it was WAY too rusty for my talents at the time, so I sold it.?☹️

It was a limited run because RevellAG whacked the roof off to make a Cabriolet in a very permanent way. Which is why the Cabrio has been reissued, but there was only ever a single run of the Coupe. They did the same thing with the 8 Series BMW in a time before people wrapped their minds around not destroying things to make other things out of them.

Thanks for that info!

Yeah... those are definitely oldies that brought back a flood of memories of my younger years. I had done the 55 Chevy Street Machine in the 70s and my sister did the California Street Vette Kit back then too. Told her what I got and she asked if I remembered the huge Corvette kit she did. I knew what one she was talking about. Talk about taking up a good chunk of display space. LOLOL!

Thanks fellas!  I’m pretty pleased with it!  Didn’t trust the mounts (not that I have any reason not to, but I wanted some redundancy) so I picked some little ones up at Ace Hardware this morning and I think we’re all set now...

That looks great. Did it come with a plexiglass front? If not, you might want to consider having a glass company cut you one. Cheap way to keep the dust out.

No sir, it didn’t - but someone I follow on Instagram did exactly that and added a Perspex front.  Seems like a good idea!

It only needs a little tinkering at the rear bumper to bring it closer to the body.

Sixteen issues of Model Car Science from 1963-1965, including the premier issue. I was only after November 1964, but I saw this listing on eBay. They are all in very good condition. I think the price was fair. Probably less than I would have spent mail ordering 16 issues, and I didn’t spend months buying them one at a time. I’m pretty happy.
