And I've never seen that ad here before--or anywhere else, for that matter! Is it really $5 a jar???
ChrisBcritter Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 I stopped by the general store in Lucerne Valley today and picked up an Atlantis 1/32 Chevy Nova; been wondering if it would be feasible to use the engine and underhood stuff in a Monogram 1/32 Chevy Malibu police car kit. Anyone else tried this?
RSchnell Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Resisted the urge to buy a couple kits at the LHS, but picked up a few supplies. Never tried the Molotow pen, figure I'll give it a shot this weekend. 1
Sledsel Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Picked up the Revell Baja Bronco and '64 442 at Hobby Lobby today.

Phirewriter Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 (edited) Les and Chris, I'm definitely familiar with The Parts Box and have purchased a number things from them, mostly slot car related items. Good quality stuff! Thanks for posting the link. I have the Interceptor kit (Max's police ride from the beginning of Mad Max) and it's very nice. I still wish for more detailed styrene kits though, but if anyone's interested don't hesitate to order one. I'll also add that Scalextric has offered 1:32 Supercar slot cars for the AU market over the years and have quite a few. Edited January 29, 2022 by Phirewriter 2
slusher Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 I pick this up the other day after the Dentist..

Tabbysdaddy Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 I finally used my Christmas gift card. I've wanted the visible V8 since I saw it as a kid. The GTO isn't really my thing but I want to try to combine it with one of the 72s I have to make a stockish 70. At the least I helped keep Round2 going by buying it.
MPi-KM Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Got these today(except for the Mongoose dragster I got from ebay) at the Chattanooga model show today. Anyone know where I can get new decals for the Go Navy Tom McEwen dragster? They were missing. 1
Casey Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Stumbled upon these GLIS clear organizers at IKEA today, and bought a few. I've been looking for some with larger compartments which can hold multiple hoods, spoilers, roof sections, etc., and these are near perfect. Comparison with my two other go-to sizes: 4

Comparison with my two other go-to sizes: I've accumulated many of these stackable GLIS organizers, and agree they are near perfect for storing and organizing parts. When I first discovered these maybe 10 years ago, they had removable dividers and were even handier.

Just glad to have found them...hope I bought enough. ?? 1

Those would sure work better than the Vans shoe boxes/ziploc bags method if parts storage I use now! 1
Mr mopar Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Friday went to my LHS and these followed me home ! 1
niteowl7710 Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 (edited) Fresh off the bus from H.K. the next in the line of BMW 320i kits from NuNu/Beemax Two bottles of paint from Splash Paints for the new Tamiya GR86/BRZ. Splash is offering about a half dozen new colors for the kit. Edited January 30, 2022 by niteowl7710
W-409 Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Today I bought a '68 Chevrolet Impala SS promo model. I've been trying to find one for a long time, but they always seem to be too expensive. But this one was found locally here in Finland and it was very cheap. The same gentleman also had a '67 Pontiac GTO Convertible promo model, which I bought as well. Both of these are in nearly flawless condition, and the price for both was way cheaper than what these go for in eBay... The Impala will be built factory stock with chassis and engine bay from AMT's '67 Impala. The GTO will probably be built factory stock with a more detailed chassis and engine bay at some point as well. But in the meanwhile they can be displayed the way they are. 4

Tabbysdaddy Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Birthday present from my Dad. It was sealed. Was. 1
bluestringer Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Got this for Christmas but only starting playing around with it today practicing on some spoons. I have been using a Paasche H, and it does a great job. But I really like this Talon. Going to take a while to get use to the double action. It is much easier to clean than the H and has a nice large paint cup.
4mula1fan Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 (edited) Slowly getting my stuff together for the 1/12 Grumpy's Toy 69 Camaro. Found my set of Cragars, got the decal sheet, photo etch detail set, Grump Lump, now to find a good big block. All I can find is a resin 572 in 1/12. Hate to pay that much for the resin print, but I might be forced to. I'll still have to fab the tunnel ram. Edited February 2, 2022 by 4mula1fan
