Ace-Garageguy Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 The '29 Model A Roadster 2'n 1 from Revell coming out this month looks like it has a Nailhead in it. I think we may have been through that at some length here on the board recently.
lordairgtar Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I got a Miami Mice Daytona and ordered a Tamiya Toyoda AA kit from the LHS. Also got a paper kit of an Airplane from a friend in Brazil.
The70judgeman Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I think we may have been through that at some length here on the board recently. Never even looked at that thread. Wasn't interested in the model at all until I saw the tires and then noticed it had a Nailhead. Saw your post here and was just trying to point it out to you is all.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Oh, geez.Quite a lot.AMT '41 Plymouth, AMT Fruitwagon (this time my father is going to build one of them... he's making the C-Cab ,) the AMT Ecto-1/1A, the Revell '59 Caddy Seville, a Midwest miter box and an Excel razor saw (other one was dull,) and some more sanding films. At Harbor Freight, I got a little 4" table saw for $37 (I think it was) with a one-year replacement plan. Cuts pretty well with low noise.
om617 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Some more old "junk". Rough box on the Eldorado, but the kit is very good condition. Was hoping for a 67 but the 68 is close to identical. The other is a 61 Bonneville convertible,i got it reasonable because of the windsheild, another challenge i guess. Now i finally have all 61-64 Bonneville.
bismarck Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Great score... X2. That 454 SS is a pretty nice kit!!
ZTony8 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Over the weekend I picked up two of the new '29 Model A kits and the Blue Bandito plus a photo-etch set for the R/M '32 Fords.
Tom Geiger Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 (edited) The plan is, as you might have guessed, to try to use the Prelude engine and chassis underneath the Accord body. Yes, yes I know that although the Accord and prelude are related cars, mine two represent different generations. That Prelude looks like a nice model and as you said, these are getting rare, so I'd be inclined to keep it intact. Create an eBay search agent and see what you find. I have several for some pretty obscure kits and I get an email when they find one. You may get lucky and find a parts car cheap. Edited September 8, 2015 by Tom Geiger
Junkman Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Please, please, please do a review of the DS.
martinfan5 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Please, please, please do a review of the DS.I am going to be doing a whats in the box video , and doing a still image review as well

Now i finally have all 61-64 Bonneville. Good luck with the Bonneville - are you going to kitbash it with the new '61 Catalina? If not, the AMT '62 Impala would provide a windshield frame. Use the glass you have if you can save it - the Impala frame is wider at the base and it will fit, but it's tough to make the Impala glass fit.
martinfan5 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Ive been waiting for HLJ to stock this one, finally just canceled my pre order for it, you are the second person that I have seen get this kit
martinfan5 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Would you like me to do a review?I think the other guy that is a member here did one
Deathgoblin Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Got 3 cans of Duplicolor paint from Ollies for $.99 each.
martinfan5 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Where?I think it might been on Facebook, if you want to do one, go for it, I am sure there will be a few people here happy to know the differences between the two kits

Nice tip on the Impala windshield frame,i do have a donor somewhere. I do plan on using Catalina donor for a 62 Bonneville convertible, but i need two chassisplates to make a nice fit since the Bonneville got longer wheelbase and rear deck then the Catalina.
