I couldn't get a picture. The wife and I went up to the UP for the weekend, and got stuck behind a MAN overlander type truck thing. It was massive, and seemed to top out at 40mph. It had German plates on it, can't imagine how much it cost to ship, let alone buy.

It looked like it started as something similar to this, but had a ton of mods (tire and gear racks, lights, etc)

That's a cool car...... Do you have any deets on the little Mazda beside it?

No, but from where it’s parked, it may be someone who works there.

Can I do a 'What did I see on a trailer beside the road today" post? This was a couple miles from home on a road I don't usually drive. It's based on a non-shortened VW pan and appears to be mostly steel. I'm guessing a home-built body?

Saw this rough as a cob Chevy II on my to get a Cheesteak & this Unibody Ford Pickup within a couple miles of each other. The Ford still had a Y-block judging by the exhaust.  Also saw a nice AMX but unable to get a photo.

saw something from pre 1920 cruising about today. i know nothing about this era of car but i know it wasn't a model t. It had a brass grille, most of the controls seemed to be outside the car and it was sedan type bodywork. pretty quiet sounding engine too. I'm going to guess at it being fairly early as it looked more like a cart than a car still. It seemed like the lights were updated as they looked to be later electric ones

Not able to get a picture since I was going west on a four-lane divided HI way in a construction zone and Kansas finest had someone pulled over in the east bond lanes. What caught my eye was the squad car was a Dodge Challenger with a blue colored body and a silver roof and rear deck lid. Till now I have only seen the KHP using mostly Dodge Chargers in either black or white and Dodge SUV's in black. The paint job reminds me of a KHP Charger I saw at a Quick Trip gas station last year with the same paint job. The driver was taking a break with another officer in a black Charger and the unusual paint job is what I noticed. Maybe that Kansas is either changing their color scheme or the new colors may denote some other special type of service. So, if you're pushing the speed limit in Kansas, I suggest that if you see a blue Challenger, hood scoop and all, coming up on you from behind, just know they may be there to ruin your day.

Saw this one out of the corner of my eye as it was driving by.  Then I caught it in the parking lot of Starbucks.  Sorry for the crappy pic.  Best I could get because he was leaving.
