Joe Handley Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 (edited) Got this today! I am having some issues with getting it to be a phone at this time...... Somehow between Best Buy and Verizon, I was set up on an all new account vs getting a SimCard for the cell number I’ve had for nearly 20 years Edited April 23, 2020 by Joe Handley
Joe Handley Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Got these in today, just not sure if they would be considered “models” since they’re about 1/24 scale and semi compatible with 1/20 and 1/25-1/24 scale light truck kits? I ordered them nearly a month ago and they just arrived today. They’re Axial Racing SCX24 kits with the generic “Deadbolt” truck body. They offer this with a 4dr JL Wrangler body and ‘67 or ‘68 Chevy C10 body, but this was $10 less per truck due to not being licensed, which is good for about 2/3 the price of the extra packs I ordered for the trucks? I then got Dad to play with the one I bought him? I finally got the chance to play with mine after work, and trip to Farm&Fleet where I picked up those tubs (Rubbermade ones too!), then dinner, then bringing the tubs in from the Dad’s van and shooting more night pics of the 200........guess it was a busy night, tonight, huh?!

unclescott58 Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Look at those remote truck is making me want one. And that's all I need. More toys!

Pricing isn’t bad, these were $109.99 each and licensed versions are $119.95, and it doesn’t matter if you get the Jeep Wrangler 4dr (JL) or ‘68 Chevy C10. Should like up nicely with the 1/20 scale Lindberg truck kits too, this one is dead on for their ZJ Grand Cherokee kit?
HomerS Posted May 10, 2020 Posted May 10, 2020 I was hoping to find a can of Pickle Rick Pringles but they never seemed to hit the shelves around here. It's been several months since these were on the internet but last week going through Meijers the wife found this one all by itself. My youngest can have the contents, I just enjoy the show...... I'm Pickle Rick!!
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 10, 2020 Posted May 10, 2020 I got half a ton of lumber to build a Q&D floor and shelves in a 17X25 foot tent, so I can get all the junk from the carport moved out and sorted, and get the Spyder and MR2 in there instead. Time to put the engine back in the Spyder and sort the MR2 electrical problems and finish swapping parts from the donor car, so I can drive 'em both to Arizona. Then the Silverado comes in to get her new engine. She'll be towing the donor MR2, with the '32 Ford body shell in the bed. Got half the floor and half the shelves built, too. Gee. I wonder why I never finish any models.
Joe Handley Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 Had a former customer from my HTU days texted me that he ordered one of these and it arrived on Monday......aaaaand I couldn’t help myself, ordering one that day. Well, it and the extra batteries for the SCX24s both arrived today.? Now we just need to get the Cricut Maker Dad and I ordered for my Sister’s Mother’s Day gift to arrive?

Its been about 11 years since I had something old to drive. 6 minutes ago, Tom Geiger said: Very cool 53! Is that a modern 6 in it? Yes, the engine is a couple years newer. The engine has been rebuilt, new heater core and radiator, wheels, tires and lots of little stuff. Just needs a few little things to put it back on the road.
crazyjim Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 Very cool. I was building a '54 until divorce came around. All the body work was done and I was filling holes in the firewall. Fresh frame was ready along with a SB Chevy engine.
Joe Handley Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 Got the bearings for my Clod Buster and Stampede in from A-Main today then Dad was able to get a screen protector for my iPhone while He and my Sister were at Sam’s Club today. Just waiting on the Cricut Maker I ordered to give my Sister for Mother’s Day to show up, which will hopefully be on Thursday!

Hotrod 97 Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 Found this on the side of the road while taking the dog for a walk. It's been sitting there for a while, so I don't think anyone will go looking for it. I think it's from a Ford E Series van?
