1960 Falcon

Actually, it's a '61 with a '60 grille (with a little change to it). This little model was a rough restore! It had been painted with a hot lacquer inside and out. While I managed to remove the paint pretty cleanly, I had to do a ton of sanding to get the body smooth again. I gave up on trying to salvage the chrome on the side of the body and shaved it. I did manage to keep the scripts. I didn't bother with the interior much. Just replaced the dash and steering wheel along with adding an automatic floor shifter. The rest was just paint and detail. The body is in Model Masters Diamond Green with a coat of Tamiya Pearl and clear. The interior is in Dupli Color Bright Aqua and black. Wheels are Pegasus Shueys with Pegasus disc brakes. It's a simple little model. But, it came out just like the vision I had for it.

Sweet !  I would like to have a real one just like that in my garage.

A guy down the road from me had a 61 for sale, he wanted $1100 for it..

Roger your falcon looks terrific!!! The color, wheels and stance, you nailed it!
