Can-Con Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 This is a rebuild of a car passed on to me back in the late 70s. Originally belonged to my cousin Rocky who passed on from complications from diabetes 10 years ago on the 12th of this month. We were like brothers growing up. Very simple kit. Body was shaved of emblems, door handles, etc. Revlon nail polish finish. Wheels are from a Jada 1/32 Cobra Roadster, they scale out to about 17" on this car. Tires are a set of Monogram 1/24 Goodyear Gatorbacks which fit the wheels quite well after cutting out a raised ridge from the inside.
doorsovdoon Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Very nice. The mods are nice and subtle and the colour looks just right for that era of car.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Nice looking rebuild! Should make for a pretty good memento of your cousin.
Plowboy Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Sharp as a tack!! The color and especially the wheels suits it perfect! If this doesn't make one want to build a '69 Galaxie, I don't know what would.
Koellefornia Kid Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Beautiful colour and some nice wheels, too!
espo Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Beautiful looking cruiser. Very cleanly detailed.
AmericanMuscleFan Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Beautiful and clean build Steve! You made this simple kit nicer and realistic than the original, a nice tribute to your cousin Rocky! I love the color, very well done sir!!!
1930fordpickup Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Another vote for well done. That color is close to the 68 Ford Fairlane my brother had for a few year.
Scott8950 Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 That color looks great on that car. Very nice build
