  1. My wife and I watched Night Court every week and really enjoyed the show. I read an article about his passing very quickly and I thought it said he was only 65. If I read that correctly, he passed away at a rather young age by today's medical standards.
  2. I like it. The difficulties you had do not show up in the photos.
  3. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. drove this car at Kansas in the spring race of 2017. The kit is a Chevy snapper and the decals are from Patto's Place. The paint is Dupli Color Bahama Blue over a silver base. I added the side skirts to the car, but did not flare them out. Patto's decals has some fit problems with this kit to begin with and flaring out the side skirts tends to make the fit worse. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with this sheet of decals. It did not have the Nationwide markings for the rear fender and they did not take the decal setting solution I used well at all. I used Micro Sol and Micro Set as I have with other decals from Patto's. For some reason this set wanted to wrinkle. I also shortened the rear spoiler to try and match the 2017 specs. Thanks for looking. Picture of the actual car.
  4. Ray, I have been following your build, and quite frankly, this is one you should be proud of. It looks really nice, particularly since it is your first kit like this.
  5. Very nice set of models. Excellent work!
  6. That's what we do, isn't it? We could be a GEICO commercial.
  7. This is really sad. When my son was quite young, he used to watch Mail Call every week. I remember on one of the episodes, the question was asked why it looks like the American flag is flying backwards on the military uniforms. Ermy's answer was that if it flew the other way, it would look like we were retreating. He followed that comment up by stating in his over the top manner that the U.S. military never retreats. My son pulled his backpack out that he had a pin of the U.S. flag on and he turned it like the flag on the military uniforms. A few weeks later my sister was at our house and she told my son that his pin was on backwards. He promptly told my sister that if he pinned it the other way he would be retreating. He further said that the U.S. military does not retreat and neither does he. My sister never understood that comment. My wife and I almost died laughing. When he was out of character, he appeared to be a very humble man. His message to young people in particular was how the military probably saved his life by keeping him out of prison. From what I recall him speaking, his life was not on a good path and joining the Marines straightened him out and gave him a sense of purpose.
  8. Looks really nice. The fade from yellow to white is outstanding!
  9. Looks great! Your foil work is excellent.
  10. Very nice!
  11. I used MCW's Country Time color.
  12. 80 for the high yesterday and today. 40 for the high tomorrow and Sunday. This sucks!
  13. My comment was not as precise as it should have been. When I suggested chartreuse for the color, I should have suggested that it would be neon or florescent chartreuse. This is one I built many years ago and is the color I believe the Menard's are.
  14. Looks very nice.
  15. That is a spectacular build! Great job.
  16. The Menard's cars have traditionally been more of a chartreuse instead of a neon yellow. I will see this car in May and will know for certain, but based on what I have seen in the past, chartreuse is the way I would go.
  17. Great looking group of models. I am partial to the race cars and they are exceptional.
  18. That is a beautiful looking model. Excellent work!
