  1. Nice, clean build. Well done ??.
  2. Very nice job. The red paint finish is just perfect ??.
  3. This build never fails to amaze me. Keep the good work going.
  4. This is an amazing build. I actually thought some of the pictures of the interior were a 1:1 car. Its a shame that some of the earlier pictures in this thread are no longer displaying for me.
  5. This is going to be a beauty! Lovely paint job. Who makes this kit? MFH?
  6. Very nice work so far. I love the sleeved wheels. I like the idea of displaying with one wheel off There’s so much lovely detail in that suspension. I have a few of these 6-Series Fujimi kits waiting to be built, plus one on the shelf that I built as a kid. I’ve got to say, Fujimi made an AMAZING kit here. looking forward to seeing more progress on this one.
  7. That is looking great! Fantastic results from such humble beginnings. My dad had one of these when I was a kid. A 728i if I remember correctly, and it was a similar shade of light green too.
  8. Nice work. I never knew of the existence of this kit! Airfix did make some nice subjects in 1/32.

Fantastic job. The paint finish looks just right - not being super shiny. How did you do the trim on the front and rear screens? I see chrome trim with a black outline to simulate the rubber. Is it just careful painting?
  10. That gloss looks stunning. The blue looks like a perfect match to an OE BMW colour. I believe it’s called Snapper Rocks Blue. The interior looks great too. This will be one nice M4.
  11. This is shaping up to be a really nice build. Looking at the finished underside it’s hard to believe the engine and transmission are moulded in. keep up the good work. Can’t wait to see the body in paint now.
  12. That’s an excellent job!! I’ve just bought the C1 conversation kit too. It’s very nicely moulded. Can’t wait to get start. I know what you mean about BMF. Your decision to spray chrome the window surrounds was definitely the right way to go. Looks great.
  13. Lovely job. That Pearl paint looks outstanding. The carbon decal work looks ace. What is in the C1 accent kit?
  14. Good job on the engine and chassis so far. I have had plenty of this trouble with lacquer paints on plastic in the past. I have no idea why this phenomena happens, and it’s even worse with metallics. As others have said, a good primer and it’s never a problem. If I’m spraying without a primer, I always choose an acrylic or enamel.
  15. Looks like a reasonable kit. Thanks for sharing such a detailed spread of pictures of the individual sprues. I like what you've done with the headlamps.
  16. Very nice! The vac formed clear parts really make a difference.
  17. Good job on getting this done so quickly. Sounds like you had a blast spraying the ‘dust’ on. Despite the kit, I think it looks pretty cool as a barn find.
  18. Looks like a nice kit. Looking forward to seeing this one come together.
  19. It may only be one, but what a model!
  20. Great job on all four. They are all nice, but the 32 is my favourite.
  21. Wow. Fantastic build. The chrome window trim in this kit take it to a new level. This is the first one I’ve seen built up.
  22. Well done on finishing another superb model. Thanks for sharing your techniques. The headlamp trim rings are particularly clever.
  23. Fantastic paint. Well done!
  24. Such a clean build. I love a gasser, when done nicely. That paint finish is flawless. Zooming in on your pictures, I can see the minute fleck in the pearl - it looks great! is the Pearl in the Testors base paint, or in the clear you applied?

Thanks for the extra tips Steve. IIRC, the black bumper version should ride a little higher, and the Chrome bumper version will require lowering. I think British Leyland raised the ride height on later black bumper cars to comply with new regulations.
