  1. I had hunch on that. Cool.
  2. Beautiful. The color looks correct to what is on the box art. I like it.
  3. Oh, and by the way. I may have used Fred Cady decals in the past when I built my MPC Ford GT40 Mk IV a couple of years ago. I don't remember for sure if I used Fred Cady decals or not. Fred Cady did make decals for the GT40 Mk IV. If they were Fred Cady decals, they were pretty good.
  4. A very good link you gave above Snake. ☝️ It really points out the good and bad of this kit very well. And it make me lust for the Fred Cady decals even more. I see Fred Cady had both the "A" and "B" striping package setups. Plus other minor decals, which others sets do not include. By the way, my kit started out in slightly better condition then his, as far as the plastic goes. He had a complete kit on the trees. But, thankfully mine was molded in white plastic and didn't show any ready problems with thickness, flash, or mold lines like his did. Though, the later two may have taken care of by a previous owner of my kit. Another point that has been brought up several times about this kit. Everybody notes the missing side marker lights, required on '68 and '69 Ramblers missing from this kit. I'd like to point out that the interior of this model is also not correct for a '69 SC/Rambler. In '69, at least with the SC/Rambler, they did not come with bucket seats. SC/Ramblers came with a bench. The split reclining bench from what I remember. But, no buckets. I'm not sure if any 1969 Ramber could be equipped with bucket seats or not? Buckets were offered in previous years. So obviously the Jo-Han based this kit with very few modifications on their earlier '67 Ramber Rouge kit. Which was good enough for most of us "kids" back in 1969. I more than likely would not have known the difference back in 1969 or '70, when I was 11 or 12 years old. It would have just look like a correct SC/Rambler to me. If I known what a SC/Rambler was at the time? Which I don't think I knew about the SC/Rambler until two years later, when I saw one in my first Auto World catalog.
  5. I hope Keith Marks would do decals for this kit. I've had very good results with the ones I've gotten from him to past.
  6. Went to eBay to see I can find. Plenty from Fred Cady's decals. But, non for the SC/Rambler. The SC/Rambler decals were the one from Firebird Designs. I'll have to keep me open for Cady's in the future. I don't know if I've ever used his stuff or not. But, it seems to me, I've always heard good things about his decals. I'd like to others options on if this is true?
  7. Yea. That was a '75. A Cutlass S, minus the 442 package. Factory stock. Curbside snap kit. I'm willing to bet that the Jo-Han dies were not modified for this. There are enough differences between the 1975 and the '76 - '77 Cutlasses to probably not make a conversion of Jo-Hans dies all that easy. Plus, there were no NASCAR version or parts with the Jo-Han kit.
  8. Very nice. ?
  9. Fred Cady made decals for this kit? Were they any good? And can one still get them?
  10. It's been a while since I've seen Grease. The above photo shows the Mercury from the movie, and it has white lettered tires? Somehow that doesn't seem very "50's" to me. And those wheel covers? American Graffiti always feels true to the time period it represents, to me. Grease is a fun movie, but IMO it really did not do a good job representing the 50's. Back to the Future does a much better of capturing the feel of the 1950's. And again, don't get me wrong, I like the movie Grease. The automotive scenes in that movie have always turned me off.
  11. I have the wonderful 1/43 scale Firebird III die cast put out by Bizare/Minimax. The Firebird III and the Lincoln Futura are my two favorite concept cars ever.
  12. Do NASCAR kits sell out anymore? I thought that trend passed about 15 years ago. I hope I'm wrong, and this does sell well enough for other non NASCAR models to follow. In the meantime I'll be passing on this one.
  13. Now that is funny! ? I hated both versions of that Ford from that movie. The white one is almost acceptable. The lighting bolts are the biggest turnoff. The red one? Just see John's comment above. ?
  14. A very sharp Firebird. It looks great.
  15. Hey! I thought everybody, other than me, hates Mutt IIs. I amazed at the response this kit is getting. Are others finally waking up to how cool the Mustang II is? As I thought they were when they appeared on dealers showrooms back in the fall of '73? It's about time.
  16. I was impressed until he mentioned that he didn't make the seats to recline. Yea right! Holy cow! That is something. It's way beyond my patience or modeling skills.
  17. I don't know why I bought these. They're a little too Japanese sterile for my layout.
  18. I won't be buying it. Beside I have an earlier issue in my collection.
  19. This is the one I'd like to reissued.
  20. By the way, thanks for all the comments. You guys are okay.
  21. I really want this one.
  22. If this was a non NASCAR, factory stock 442, I'd buy one. The above version doesn't interest me at all.
  23. Another Ford clone.
  24. I love the Petrolicious videos. And this is another good one. It also makes me wonder about the old MPC kit of the Howmet Turbine. I'm wondering if that's the car MPC modeled? Or another variation? I have to go to work, so I don't have time to research it right now.
