  1. I'd love to see any of the old Craftsman kits from the past. #1 on my list. The Craftsman '57 Thunderbird. There are a few differences between it and the non-Craftsman kit with the engine, that interests me. But, with the regular kit being reissued on fairly a regular basis over the years, I doubt if the Craftsman version has much of a chance of ever being seen again. Other curbside Craftsman kits I'd like to see and would buy? The '59 Buick, '59 Edsel and '59 Ford. I can't remember for sure, but I think there was a Craftsman kit of a '59 Mercury too? Another one high on my list would be the Craftsman '64 Corvair kit. Plus, let's not forget the '66 Skylark and '63 Falcon convertible. Interesting talk about the '68 and '69 Coronets. With Monogram's old '69 Super Bee coming back soon, that will satisfy my need for a '69. But, if either of MPC's old '68 or '69 Coronets, especially with the trailer, ever comes back, there goes money from my wallet. 1971 Demon. How many years have I been waiting for that one? Didn't Round 2 tell us that was coming shortly after they took over the molds from RC2? I'd also like to a early second generation Firebird Formula. 1970 - 1973. And a Formula, not a Trans Am. Again, Monogram/Revell has offered us a pretty good '70 Trans Am over the years. I've always liked the Formulas look better, and miss those early MPC versions more. Last, I'd love to see any of the Modified Stocks be brought back to their original "stock" form. I cry when I think about what the old AMT company did to the '65 Olds, '65 Fairlane, '66 Skylark, and '69 Falcon back in the early 70's.
  2. Just got back from my regular monthly run to Scale Model Supplies, in St. Paul. Got out of there with most of money this time. I only picked up the following:
  3. Interesting reading. I don’t know if I’ll be buying this kit or not? I have a copy of the old Revell Jag XKE roadster. Which always looked good to me. I’ve always liked the roasters better than the coupes. But, I’d love to see someone put up some photos, especially of the old Aurora/Monogram coupe next to this new one. Also comparing the old Revell roadster to their new coupe would be interesting to see too. How good or bad is this new kit compared to the older ones? True, when pointed out, the windshield does not look correct to me compared to the real car either. But, if I wanted a model of a coupe, I don’t think it would stop me from building this kit. The kit looks pretty good to my eyes overall. And like other have noted here, I’m not sure most people would notice that the windshield is wrong. Last, Jim Whalen did a beautiful job on building the new kit. But, I’m wondering why a person from England is building an English car with the steering wheel on the left? Does the kit not offer the ability to build the model as a right-hand drive version? Again, not a problem for me. But, I would hope they gave option to build it either way. Their old roadster had the option.
  4. Wow! I’m very impressed to see the talents of different people who post here. I love it.
  5. Wow! Very, very cool. I’m impressed.
  6. Wow! Quick work. It only been a month or so since the refit was first seen. And you already have a model of it built? I’m impressed.
  7. Ah! Another Trekkie. Very cool. And as others have noted. Your models are getting better with each build I see you posting here. Keep going!
  8. Go read the reviews on the Bond Mustang kit. They redid the whole front end to be more correct.
  9. Beautiful. I’m looking forward to getting mine.
  10. I enjoyed these Slammer kits when they were out the first time. I still have them. Between that fact, and seeing box art above, I’m sure I’ll be passing on these two this time.
  11. I (pre)ordered mine from Model Round last night. Along with '72 Chevy Racers Wedge and the GMC Jimmy. Cool stuff.
  12. Thanks for the update Tim.
  13. Good. I'd rather have the Revell version. Let's hope they've fix and cleaned up the molds, so kit can be at least as good as it was when it was first released back in the late 1960's. And again, put it back in a box with the original art work.
  14. The above may still be the best example of the greatest "box art" ever done, in my opinion. I still love it. If Atlantis has the molds for the above kit, and reissues it with that box art, I'll buy one despite how good or bad the contents are in the box. My suspicion is the kit they have and with be reissuing is the old Monogram '57 Nomad. I did build a nice one a few years back. The one with cardboard diorama gas station. It looked okay when done. But, the portions never looked quite right to me. So, I'm hoping for the old Revell kit. Despite all the horror stories I keep hearing, I don't remember it being all that bad. I remember building the kit at least twice. The first time, was the kit with the box art above. Not the easiest kit to build. But, not horrible either. Though, if I get a chance to build another one, I will be gluing the tailgate shut, and probably the doors too. We'll see.
  15. Ah, okay. Not a big one on my list of must haves. But, I'll be buying one just the same.
  16. My #1 holy grail kit, the old Revell Spare Station from the late 50's. I believe that was only put out the one time, and was not a good seller at the time. I hope molds are still around for that one. But, I'm not holding my breath.
  17. I also will be looking forward to both the Firebird and Nova, if they are the exact kits shown above. Plus the '56 Buick if it can be built stock.
  18. I know a lot people think I'm nuts for wanting the old Revell 1971 Jungle Jim Camaro. But, it was one of first funny car kits I built back in the day. In fact, I think the only other funny car I had built before that was Monogram's Mean Maverick. And like Mr. Van above, I'd love to see Atlantis bring that one back. Back to the '71 Jungle Jim Camaro. In retrospect I understand that it was not a very accurate kit. But, I thought it looked cool at the time. And want to get one back in my collection. I think I can do a better job building it this time. The first time, I just assembled it straight out of the box without any paint. Built in one afternoon. I will take more time and use paint on this one.
  19. Which spacecraft kit is this one exactly?
  20. Very kool. I wouldn't think the Chrysler grille would work. But, it look great. I like it.
