  1. That is a very cool build and definitely unique! Well done.
  2. Looks really nice, good job!
  3. Beautiful build, great job!
  4. Saw this in the magazine, all i can say is WOW! This is an amazing build, your level of detail work is fantastic. Great job!!
  5. Progress has been slow, but I have gotten the majority of the front and rear suspension done. Made front brake lines from painted braided line and the rear lines from stainless welding wire. I'm lightly weathering the chassis and pan to look like the car has run a few practice laps. I've got to run a couple of transmission lines and shifter cable and few drivetrain should be complete. Now it's on to the interior and look and fuel system.
  6. Fantastic job, that is a great looking model!
  7. Very nice looking.
  8. That looks really nice, great job!
  9. Great job, very nice looking car!
  10. Fantastic detail work and weathering. That is a great looking model, very realistic.
  11. The gas station looks a little like the one still standing in Hackberry, AZ on Route 66. Good job Ray!!
  12. Great show today! Generally military models dominate shows like this, but not today. The car tables were more full then the military tables. The level of quality in both car and military models was very impressive. The largest class by far was the competition cars and the competition in that class was amazing!
  13. Looking forward to it! First live contest I've been to in two years. This is always a great show.
  14. Nicely done! Those are easy kits to build, they really go together well. Did you use the USA 1 kit?
  15. Great job on a beautiful car!
  16. Very nice model, love the color and the great detail work. Excellent job!
  17. Super clean build, great looking model.
  18. Slowly making progress. Engine is nearly done, I got the fittings drilled out, painted, and installed for the fuel lines on the distribution side. Now I need to do the same thing on the intake side and install the lines. The chassis is all painted and I got started on the interior. It's too bad that the pedal assembly won't be very visible when the car is completed because the brake and clutch pedals actually move! The pedals have PE faces which adds an authentic look. The bottom of the chassis pan is way too glossy and will need to be weathered some and possibly hit with a semi gloss clear coat. Any suggestions on weathering it or getting rid of the shine would be welcome.
  19. Fantastic build, the interior looks amazing!
  20. Great use of leftover and spare parts, very cool model.
  21. That came out very nice! I built the same car last year, it was a pain, and like you I was about 75% happy with the results. You did better than i did, i gave up on the opening doors, they were extremely frustrating.
  22. That is really nice, excellent color choice!
  23. Got a little more work done on the engine. Really happy with the way it's coming out. The details that Tamiya builds into this scale is amazing!
  24. I've been able to get some work done on the engine, my glacial building speed ensures this will be a slow process. I used the Tamiya weathering master kits to weather all the parts along with brown and black panel line accent colors. The cooling fan duct was sprayed with thinned clear orange, yellow, and black. I've got a long way to go but I'm happy with the results so far.
  25. Excellent job on both cars, they are a beautiful pair.
