  1. Really nice technique!
  2. Here's the ones you need. Have your visa card ready...these must be the inserts that were lost. Too bad.
  3. No they didn't. They had a distributor instead of the magneto like the later kits.
  4. I did Gerry. I kept the file you posted. most of the parts aren't a problem, just some of the little ones.
  5. You're right Bill. I can't believe I overlooked it. My eyes aren't very good. Once I put it in place,it does look like a horn. My instructions don't have the chart with all the part numbers and the location on the sprue. All kits should have that.
  6. Thank you! My instructions aren't like that. I found it.
  7. Is anyone working on the Revell VW Samba bus kit? I can't find part #22,which I guess is a steering box. It's not identified on the instructions, which is kind of strange, since everything else is. Do you know what sprue it is on? Here's a pic if that will help. Thanks.
  8. Yes Ebay (and other online sites) are full of ads like that. As far as his feedback goes ,yes it is low ,but for no more than he has ,it doesn't take much to drag it down.
  9. Has anyone done a review of the '57 Ford wagon gasser yet?
  10. A mere $10.98? I was 11 in 1963 and that would have bought 6 or 7 1/25th scale kits. Those kits are now $20 to $30. I can understand Revell's unwillingness to make these again. The demand just isn't there. I used to work in a factory that molded plastic parts. The molds might be paid for ,but they still require maintenance ,the presses are $$$$$,Not to mention the cost of all that styrene ,the sheer size of the packaging ,add labor and shipping and overhead... You get the idea. If you want a Big Drag bad enough,do like I did. buy the parts from Ebay. I made mind from original parts, new parts, whatever it took. The blower is the hard part. I found this one,and it was painted (nicely) so it may be resin. not sure.
  11. Do you mean The Big Drag? From what I've read on here Revell isn't interested in reissuing big scale models. Too bad...
  12. I just got the 'regular' Sambar today. looks like it ought to be an interesting build.
  13. You get an A+ for that build!
  14. Nice! Any idea who the artist was?
  15. I wouldn't buy it unless he showed what was in the box. Some parts missing and some parts glued together covers a lot of ground. Edit: Oops! I didn't scroll far enough. The blower-if it's all there- is worth that. I have one,so I'm not bidding..
  16. Very cool. It's always fun finding your 'early stuff'.
  17. I don't know. They keep rounding them off to look like jellybeans. But there's that old expression, 'What goes around comes around' I don't think fins will ever make a comeback. It almost looks like cars will be another appliance. Like little Nerf balls on wheels. Sad....
  18. That's an unusual subject to build! Nice weathering too!
  19. I would like to see a new kit of a 73 to 79 Datsun 620 too. I have several of the MPC kits, and they take a lot of work, and they're short on details. A king cab would be great too.
  20. Nice paint and build! love that kit.
  21. Nice! I did one very similar to that . love that truck!
  22. I know what you mean Stan. I play guitar ,and I don't know how many times I treid to watch a review about a certain brand of guitar, and all they do is hammer on it with 4 or 5 effects going. You have no idea what it really sounds like. Good luck!
