  1. Absolutely - this rig cries "early 70's" - it looks fantastic: the grill shutters, the smaller bumper, the paint scheme etc. etc. Especially on pic 3 or 4 you hardly can tell it from a real one !
  2. Looks like the factory prototype: open Weber carbs, glass roof insert, missing rear hood vents.
  3. Hi, Jeff - I see your point, but I have the Major Pack Cooper-Jarrett from Lesney Matchbox (see link enclosed) and I am sure its color is not correct (the pics of the original look to be (almost) black.
  4. Can anyone help with the correct colors? I intend to build the Hendrickson double freighter in 1/25 in the not-too distant future which Matchbox did in 1962 - this was dark blue and yellow (I have one) All pics of the real truck that I know (books or internet) are in black and white. Fred Gruin who made some pics in the 60's of this vehicle has built a 1/87 model in black with orange accents - as he has witnessed the original one, I think this should be correct. Has anyone other informations about that topic? I appreciate your infos!
  5. Two especially nice Welly models are the '63 split-window Corvette in red or light-blue metallic with realistically opening doors: https://ck-modelcars.de/de/welly-1-24-chevrolet-corvette-baujahr-1963-hellblau-metallic-24073b/p-48877/ and their 1976 Porsche turbo which has been done in - I think - 6 different colors (4 of them in Porsche museum packaging): https://ck-modelcars.de/de/welly-1-24-porsche-911-930-turbo-baujahr-1975-hellgruen-map02493014/p-26184/ I have both in my collection and find the proportions spot-on; the detailing is also not bad and offers some upgrading possibilities.
  6. Everything you said about the kit is true (I built one over 30 years ago) but you made a very nice looking model out of it and I'm sure that your father will like it!
  7. While 2018 may not have been your most productive year, Steven, it certainly is on top (as always with your beuatiful models) when it comes to building Quality - the 1960 (?) Imperial is mind-blowing !!!
  8. This IS the stock version!
  9. Outstanding replica - I have to get me one of these - very nice build and perfect paint job !
  10. I have got a 1/24 Nakamura kit of this very same car via ebay last year. While it is a simple and rather crude kit, I think one can achieve a presentable result with some detailing and replacing the engine which looks like a truck diesel - this is due to electric engine and battery box (obviously a must for all Japanese manufacturers at hat time!) - which detracts a lot from the appearance. Another possibility would be to glue the engine cover shut and build it as a curbside. And yesterday I won a 1/20 Bandai Lamborghini Marzal kit on ebay.uk !
  11. You name it - I especially like the gorgeous orange and black paint scheme with those gold stripes on the back-dated 359!
  12. Very nice model, Matt, with so much detail in this small scale!!! - I built this one in the mid-70's (it hat Martini decals, which would be appropriate for Herbert Müller's 1974 Interserie car) together with the Jaguar SS 100 and the Bugatti (all three long gone...) - if my gluebomb from wa back had only looked half as good as yours...
  13. Great looking Mini, Bo, in all-red (I had thought before that only the non-Coopers had monochrome colors)
  14. Superb build, Anders ! (gives me inspirations for my kit...)
  15. Absolutely amazing build, Jason, of an iconic race car - great pictures, too !
  16. x 2: looks great - I think I will mine paint the same color!
  17. Very nice Ferrari, Dann - I appreciate the non-red color - the older Ferraris look great in different colors! ( whereas the new models are almost always pictured in red on the kit boxes!)
  18. SHOW, of course...
  19. Excellent models, Adam - please sow us more of the Taunus 17 M!
  20. I don't know how I could oversee this - excellent colors and detail for this classic 50's cruiser!
  21. Super, Jürgen! I'm looking forward to seeing your Ford truck!
  22. very nice - a good-looking workhorse on the DM-chassis!
  23. Super clean and nice land yacht!
  24. x 2 - it looks very 70's to me - excellent (but I never had the patience for those side ribs...)
