  1. IMHO they should add tampo printed frit on the clear greenhouse parts, that would make it perfect for novice builders.
  2. Any news on this one, it being a craftsman plus kit.
  3. Odd, that there's no quarterly new release list, wonder who fed the pics to hobby search.
  4. Yeah already seen it....
  5. Funny, they forgot to add that panel line
  6. Likely we will never know why, but at the same time the Kats at Amt under the umbrella of Ertl, were in the process of tooling up a full detail kit of the shortbox sport pick-up, but the project halted shortly after the body buck was crafted.
  7. If you're doing it with a vinyl top, you can hide the seams of the C-pillar with plastic strip.
  8. The AM vettes were reworked at some point, by AM and probably got new box-art too. The Revell version is a bagged shot of the latter in a Revell wrapper.
  9. What I'm hinting to here is, that these day's there's not much room for one trick pony's....so it would not surprise me a second version was planned from the get go, for max ROI, at least that's what I would do.
  10. Chris (Hpiguys workshop) is building one at the moment, video will air???
  11. I remember Dave Metzner stating in a podcast (Episode 20 - Dave Metzner, Product Development Manager, Moebius Models — Model Car Podcast) that ragtops don't sell, so.....
  12. A pity they didn't include clear lenses in the retooling of the front grille, IMHO would've been that extra to make something great even better. But for the rest cool to have it back. Thanks for the review Tim!
  13. Which is for the better, otherwise one could end up with the same problems that manifested in the '65 GoAT back when Ertl tried to bring hat kit back to stock.
  14. If Round-2 wants to trow some funds towards a retool, I would prefer a stock '82-'87 version, IMHO the best looking Elky Ever! I have a Mpc '82 (red light bandit I think its marketed as) but sadly the chrome is lousy.
  15. Plus it has great wire wheels!
  16. Indeed and its not limited to styling. Remember a teardown of a Nissan Primera and a VW Golf which were the main competitor's of the two model our plant produced.
  17. Hoping for the best too, and in the same vein as the post by James, it takes money to make money, something I said many times before but sometimes in a rather unsympathetic manner, cuz I was loosing faith. Anyway again hoping for the best for all involved and that we modelers/collectors can benefit from it for a long long time....... Luc
  18. Reversed engineered with improvements Hello all, Now that Round-2 has shown, that anything which was in their back-catalog can be made available again provided there's a market for it, my question to you folks is, what kits would you like to see back and...what would you like to see improved? My choices*: - '68 Dodge Coronet, clear headlamp lenses (mpc) - '72 Plymouth Roadrunner, clear headlamp lenses, and taillamps too. (mpc) - '69 Mustang, clear headlamp lenses (amt) - '66 Pontiac Bonneville, clear headlamp lenses (mpc) - '66 Buick Skylark, clear headlamp lenses (amt) - '64 Pontiac Grand Prix, clear headlamp lenses (amt) - '69 Chevy Impala, clear headlamp lenses (mpc) - '72 Chevy Impala, clear headlamp lenses (mpc) - '67 Mercury Cougar. (amt) - '67 Ford Galaxie, clear headlamp lenses (amt) and last but not least a: - '76ish Dodge Panel Van, curbside, emphasizing on dress-up parts and graphics and also adding clear headlamp units. * in no particular order.
  19. I've read that due to Covit-19 puzzle sales are souring, so why not use the art created for their kits, for this. Also if they put a flyer for their kit line into the box it can open the door to new customers, cuz puzzles are also sold n outlets which don't do model kits.
  20. Remember when they came out, as I subscribed Motor Trend, thought it was a good looking car, but also preferred the Cougar, so was happy when Revell also released that one.
  21. I have both the original and the police version, they're beautiful time capsules and get a smile on my face every time I pull them out of the stash to take a look.
