  1. That's why I collect model kits, Dave. But if I had the cash, a '66 Bonneville hardtop, a '67 Mustang fastback, a '67 GTO hardtop and a '69 Charger would be in my garage... It would be easier If I would be living in the USA, so if you know of a company who's willing to hire a foreign heating tech and know where they need a highly trained nurse (my wife) gimme a call....
  2. It's a good thing that they abandoned the new concept thingy, and this truck proves that after the Iveco that they again moved to being a model kit company instead of a toy manufacturer. Seeing the pics take me back to the day that, I as a 12 year old, with the help of my dad, built their first 1/24th scale truck kit, the Volvo F12, time sure flew past since then.....
  3. In this day and age of instant information, I think such dogs could put today's manufacturer in serious financial trouble...
  4. In a way it's good news, because it will mean that for that higher price, customers will expect a higher quality, which means more room for smaller operations like Belkits, which should worry a manufacturer like Round-2, since they ride on nostalgia, not only in subject matter but technology as well..and dunno how much longer today's and future discriminating modelers will accept that kind or type of automotive model kits.
  5. Maybe Dave could be talked into adding value his premium priced ltd run kits, like adding a whole lotta racing stuff plus including all the stock parts. But then again, it could cut in the sale-ability of regular Moebius kits......and end the partnership.
  6. As a European I would love to see more '50s and '60s Cadillac's...as American as apple pie, maybe more popular outside the US borders....a '69 DeVille convert would've been nice, but since the DOH license expired that one lost a bit of it's sales appeal I'm afraid.
  7. The key to great Belgian fries is: - French the potatoes - Submerge the fries in cold water - Dry them with a salad dryer or so - Fry them in Ossewit (is beef fat) at 140°c - Let them cool off - once cooled fry them at 180°c 'till they "sing" and float on the fat. take them out of the fryer put them into a boil sprinle them with salt and voila, ready to eat, with Mayo! ;^)
  8. Many thanks for the endorsement Michael! Luc
  9. Back when I was traveling the US solo, I liked Wendy's and Carl's Jr. for their burgers and Jack in the Box for their sourdough breakfast, but that was back in '05 so who knows what's good now... But if any one of you guys ever make it to Belgium, our national fast food is Fries (a Belgian invention FYI) with mayonnaise and Stoofvlees (meat that has been cooked so much that is falls apart, in a sauce)
  10. That one was recycled to tool up the '68, so not possible without some serious retooling and $$$$$.
  11. Nothing that rocks my boat this month, need more stuff like the Pinto wagon, or the Volare, kits which haven't been around for a few decades. Like I wonder for a few years now if, the tooling for the '68 Ford Galaxie is in their inventory, IIRC it wasn't turned into some funny/dream/caricature car, nor were it's guts used for the '69 Ford Galaxie. So if it wasn't scrapped, it should be there and I'm first in line to purchase a copy. ;^)
  12. Same for info, remember ILM when at GM, Information lifecicle management IIRC
  13. That's the story....tire tooling is very expensive I've always heard, also in this case because they can't, be used for other Revell products. But they can get around that by retooling simple wheels, which fit existing tires, so guess, there might be more that is keeping these from returning. Maybe Mr. Boyd can ask the powers at Revell....
  14. $120 for a mint Mpc '66 Bonneville. but if you're meaning a new release, $55 for the Meng Ford P/U and $75 for the Moebius International Pro-Star in Revell Germany wrapper. Anything I get in from the US, hovers around the $35 mark (mostly due to shipping costs)
  15. Hopefully finally a 4x4 version of the Moebius Ford truck, with bad a$$ big off-road tires and wheels, gimme some excitement guys! ;^) For the rest, your guess is as good as mine...
  16. hmm, while I like the Turbo version they did in the 80s, (beter wheels IMHO) I have to wonder if that kit in part can be used to make an all new 1/25th Scale version.
  17. As bad as I always hear they were, one can't say they're ugly, in fact for an American car of that period they're prettig and clean, just as your model Steve!
  18. Isn't it there to cover up, spotwelds or so? Just guessing....
  19. A cherry red '32 Ford highboy roadster, on the coastline road between Cannes and Saint Raphael (French Riviera) and too many recent Bentley ragtops to count, think they're givving them away here.......
  20. and they only had to pay for the licensing and retool Some bits and pieces to make it....
  21. Indeed, I asume it comes without a trailer?
  22. I feel your pain, as mine does the same, but in Dutch.....
  23. The '49 Ford coupe looks like the box Side drawing of a drag car named gas man, is upgraded to box top art. wish i coul link the pic, but dunno how to do it from an i pad.
  24. Hmm... The El Camino with soap box derby car, looks like a modified re-creation of the original '69 kit, with the new tool '68 and I'm guessing discovered soap box derby car inserts.
  25. I like the way you think Jeff!
