Thanks everyone! And a shout-out to George Hernandez at GT Kustom Krome. He received the bumpers on October 7th and I got them back November 25th; the new chrome looks terrific. In the future I'll be sending him just a couple items at a time so it won't tie up too many projects at once. Now back to the '65 Nova, I promise...

...or "Even my slumpbusters have slumps." I picked up this '66 Fairlane back in August 2018: A bit grungy, with worn chrome and an amateur two-tone and stripe job, but savable. I dismantled it and removed the black paint, which was a major struggle - a LOT of rubbing with Testors ELO stripper finally got it all. Fixed the tweaked left taillight and touched them both up with the Molotow pen, replaced the missing gearshift, then stripped the front and rear bumpers to send out to Chrome-Tech USA. Well, we all know what happened then. After CT went paws-up, I shelved the thing until GT Kustom Krome came back on the scene; I sent out the bumpers in early October and got them back this afternoon. So here we are - the stripes aren't perfect but they're original: Thanks for looking!

So, when you don't count direct TV/movie tie-ins, that leaves the Travolta Fever Firebird, Farrah's Foxy Vette, the Paul Newman 280ZX, the KISS van, and the TV Tommy Ivo dragster. Frankly, the Michael J. Pollard '36 Ford is the most tenuous connection of the bunch - there are no '36 Fords in the B&C movie since they bit the dust in 1934, and I haven't ever seen any evidence of Pollard having owned such a car. Tommy Ivo didn't have that memorable an acting career, but it paid for the cars. Which, I guess, keeps him from being too embarrassed about running around in a loincloth in a studio forest in that Bomba the Jungle Boy movie...

If you're talking about Bondic, it's heavier than water - but not quite gel consistency; it's about like clear enamel. It will self level pretty well. The commercial stuff like Alumilite UV is thicker; closer to honey.
