  1. No, that curved leg in the R was the first thing I looked for, plus the angled ends of the C.
  2. Screengrab from their Facebook page, dated October 18:
  3. Is anyone from the Denver area going to the Rocky Mountain Hobby Expo? It runs through the 28th, but Thursday and Friday are trade-only; so even if there was an announcement today we may not find out until some of our intrepid members get there Saturday.
  4. If I ever get one of those kits, I'll build it up hooked to a tow bar behind the Revell '56 Sunliner convertible!
  5. No, it's somebody's phantom creation . The Arial Black font is a dead giveaway; it wasn't available until 1982, and that's a much older Aurora logo. (All those years I spent in the typesetting department are finally of some use )
  6. After what happened with his Mustang, I can hardly wait to see the Knoxvegas Lowballers' inevitable 24 Hours of LeMons response!
  7. Chris, I got that same tree in a parts bag from Model Empire along with another tree that has a base, some rocket exhausts, and a radar dish; I did some Googling and it turns out we have trees from the Polar Lights 1/1000 scale Star Trek USS Enterprise! So far I've made use of one of the antennae - carved it down to make an ignition coil for my '64 Cadillac .
  8. Per Drastic Plastic's Fotki site, no. However, maybe the base for the Power Ram manifold could be modified to hold an injector setup? '66: '67:
  9. And to the deserving recipient... build thread please! Steve, what parts was it missing?
  10. I just find it amusing that a company called "Atlantis" doesn't want to release a Sealab...
  11. Agreed on the front end (I thought it had a bra on at first ), but it does look like an alternative treatment you could try on a '66 Skylark Modified Stocker (or any other AMT Mod Stocker).
  12. Even easier, there are little wells surrounding the tip that fill with ink - just dip your brush in them and away you go.
  13. Another version, enlarged and enhanced: Note that at some point the Interceptor gained a one-piece windshield. Any guesses as to the three words on the front bulkhead? Looks like "----- to radiator"?
  14. The '59 Imperial is a welcome return! Maybe now MCG will step up to the plate with the photo-etch set it so richly deserves. The kit does have some minor fit issues with the roof and front bumper (that needs some trimming under the hood and mating surfaces to get it to snug up to the body). Someone could cast the taillights in clear red resin for it too. Paul Hettick mastered a four-door sedan body conversion for it.
  15. They don''t have the "eyebrow" shape at the top, either - maybe better to find a set from the newer Revellogram '55?
  16. "A 1949 Ford sedan, for instance, can bring from $30 to $50 if you can find a collector who needs it." A lot of money in 1961! Fifty-odd years later, they don't go for that much more.
  17. Ooh, that's a shame. Anyone else see a certain inspiration here?
  18. No response to my question as yet from the folks at Atlantis.
  19. Yep - still hoping for the aftermarket to take this on:
  20. I've had an odd problem with PB images in people's forum posts: The photos appear for about one second, and then disappear with a broken link symbol showing - anyone know how to fix this?
  21. Thank you, Chad. Still no news on that garage accessories/tool kit we're supposed to be getting from Round2? I like the Buick wagons, but if Greenlight did them in 1/24, I'd be all over 'em like blue on a Smurf...
  22. Let's make it five: '65 Olds 88, for my Jetstar project. Price left me a bit saddle-sore, but parts for this car just don't come up very often. Could have copied the one from my other '65, but it's already painted and I don't want to mess it up.
  23. Just got back from the DuPage show. Chatted briefly with Okey Spaulding and finally broke broke down and bought a '56 Pontiac four-door hardtop kit molded in Glendale Green. Also picked up an unpainted built-up '58 Plymouth for parts, cheap, and four vintage hoods: early issue '40 Ford with nice clearly molded trim (keeper!), '62 Olds F-85, '60 Ford pickup, and stock '66-'69 Ford Falcon. The last three should be good trading material at least, since they were a buck apiece.
  24. Luckily I've about run out of grails. A good '66-69 Falcon coupe, a '60 Ford pickup, and a '66 Skylark would about do it for me - as it would for a lot of people. I'm at the point where I'd just as soon get them in resin. If we add promos to the mix, a '65 Fury hardtop would round things out (I'd rather have that as a promo for some reason).
