  1. Wow! That's gotta include the '62 Chrysler and '62 Plymouth, right? Now to find the Lancer, Valiant and Imperial...
  2. It was a copy of the MPC promo body, originally produced by Doyusha for slot car use. Same with the others - copies of the AMT '65 Impala, '66 T-bird and '66 Buick, and the Jo-Han '66 Coupe deVille. Quality is OK for a curbside but the interior, chassis and wheelcovers were generic. I bought one of the Cadillacs back in the '80s along with a Jo-Han ambulance to detail it out, but sold them before I did so. IIRC there were some minor fit issues with the Jo-Han grille/bumper unit.
  3. Yes, the '64 and '65 coupes came as Craftsman (curbside) only. Always thought that was a bit strange. I have a '64 I modified with an opening hood, plus all the underhood pieces from a '64 wagon and a scratchbuilt radiator wall incorporating the screw posts to make it look like a real 3-in-1.
  4. Mayb - oops . Maybe this'll help? http://public.fotki.com/sheridan13/modelhaus-tires-1/?view=roll#3 Tire numbers are at the bottom of each photo.
  5. Sure is! By the way, I test-fitted the taillight panel on a '61 Ford body and it's about 1/4" too narrow, but I can split it in the middle and add the gas filler lid to take up the gap .
  6. For me, the thing was I had a laundry list of stuff I was looking for, which they had none of. After that, it was all secondary stuff ('65 El Camino stock taillights and bezels, '64 Chevelle hood, Hubley '60 Ford wagon fender ornaments and a '51 Ford conversion kit) that at checkout went *poof* and left me with the mags. I also noticed they have '60 Caddy Fleetwood clear red taillights, but my kit still has its chrome ones (and frankly I'm not sure whether I want to keep it or trade it off anyway). Still need that '65 Olds hood but I guess I'll take a whack at casting it. ETA: And mega-thanks to Don and Carol for all their efforts - not only did I get a lot of great stuff from them over the last 20-odd years, but they inspired me to learn resin casting - and since then I've made a lot of useful bits for myself and others (mainly vintage wheelcovers).
  7. Must have been because most of my order went out of stock as I was checking out. Just not that fast a shopper - or typist... But I did manage to get... one set of 13-inch Cragar mags. I'll put 'em on my '69 Corvair. Or maybe my '63 Comet. Or...?
  8. Went to check out and got this: BIGINT UNSIGNED value is out of range in '(`modelhaus_db`.`tbl_product`.`pd_qty` - 1)' Will try again.
  9. 8:07 Eastern - still getting maintenance page. Anyone else in yet?
  10. Got my list, checked it twice, 1 hour and 42 minutes till I hit the keyboard...
  11. Sad thing was, the next-generation '58 Continental Mark III was originally intended to have a much stronger resemblance to the Mark II : Instead we got the cross-eyed monster based on the full-size Lincoln, aka "the box the Mark II came in".
  12. Probably because AMT turned their '65 fastback into an AWB quarter-miler early on and never changed it back. (At least they didn't make a Modified Stocker out of it! )
  13. The Corvair Rampside is listed at $80.00 - no sale price mentioned. Does the discount show up on checkout?
  14. From what I understand, some retooling was done on the body for this release, correct? If so, can anyone describe what's been done?
  15. I'd say it's gotten to the point where it would be more logical to scan original Jo-Han kits, reverse engineer them, and run them through Shapeways than it would be to put any more effort into trying to find molds. Look at the can of worms Moebius got into for attempting to get the '59 Dodge mold - a whole lot of legal and logistical problems that were so tangled that they've never even been disclosed publicly, AFAIK.
  16. And if you have trouble with that Photobucket link: (Seriously - I get a broken link here, and when I go to PB, the image appears for one second and goes back to the broken image symbol. It took several tries to get the screengrabs I needed to tile it together. Anyone else have this problem?)
  17. Big difference being that you'd have to shell out lots of money and do some scratchbuilding to duplicate many of these cars!
  18. (Been over a year, so... And I was wondering if I'd killed the thread!)
  19. Here's a review for the AK finishes including the chrome; you do need a gloss black base and thin coats to get the best results: http://blog.nicnilov.com/2016/06/metallic-paints-for-scale-modeling-review-part-three/
  20. Hope there's a '65 Olds 88 hood I can snag before the site crashes!
  21. I admit to being insufferable about the anachronisms at times - back in '81, I was watching the excellent TV movie Crisis at Central High, set in 1957 Little Rock. The cars were period-correct almost to the very last scene, when I spotted this white '66 Catalina: I'm sure it thrilled everyone else in the room when I pointed at the screen and said "A-HA! Gotcha!"
  22. Same thing here: Wonder if the same artist did both? ETA: OK, now for sure the artist was looking at a '64 - the rear view shows '64 taillights and bumper with the backup lights below the red lenses and not in the bumper.
  23. Yes, and if they decided to produce Patton's Caddy, with optional crash-damaged front end, we'd know for sure we were being trolled!
  24. Dan, I don't envy you that job! Does the bottom of the '59 Chevy windshield line up with the Pontiac's cowl OK? Here's mine, someday to become a hardtop: On all these Pontiacs, the tops of the front fenders need surgery to line up with the grille. Good luck!
  25. Got some little stuff over the weekend: The damaged '63 Olds grille will give up its center bar for the '65 Olds Jetstar I conversion I'm doing (still need '71-'74 Eldorado headlights for it!), and the '64 Falcon custom rear panel I'm going to try to fit into a '61 Galaxie (very similar to the '61 Meteor rear panel). Also, thanks to Bob Dineen of the LMMCC, I got a small box of old leftover parts including some Revell Parts Pack goodies - a Corvette chassis and parts of two chrome motorcycles: most of the Triumph minus the front forks, handlebars and front wheel, and the front wheel, forks and exhaust from the Honda. Finally, huge thanks to Tom Piagari for casting wheelcovers and taillights for my '61 Plymouth and improved wheelcovers for my Jo-Han '61 Cadillac (the custom ones from the AMT '64 Mercury with crests from the too-flat Jo-Han covers added).
