Wonder what sort of chassis would work under it to make a stock-ish driver? Maybe MPC '32 Chevy, with a Jeep flathead four-banger? At least it has a grille and horizontal ('34) hood louvers that the full-detail kit doesn't have. ETA: Just went down a Willys rabbit hole on the H.A.M.B. - there's considerable doubt as to whether ANY '33-'34 panels were made - apparently all the existing "early" ones are actually '35-'36s with earlier front end sheetmetal.

Nice to see the Monte Carlo Super Stocker coming back. Still trying to think of a different body for that chassis that would blow a few minds... maybe Jo-Han '77 Caddy? Rat Packer's a no-brainer, since the Moebius '65 is almost here; still don't know why they blew a similar opportunity with the '64 Comet when Moebius brought out their '65.

Adam, I keep getting a server error when voting, so just letting you know I'm in for the Midori Alfa Romeo! I see a lot of those kits would benefit greatly from some photoetched or hand-laced wire wheels...

We've had one dusting so far; Yucca Valley's at the 3200-foot level so any chance of snow is a cr@pshoot - usually only once a winter.

Chevy should have offered those bucket seats in the '58 Impala! Must have been borrowed from the '58 Bonneville.

AMT must have had various tire suppliers - I've seen plenty of '63 Ford promos and owned a few; the Falcons all seem to have tire melt on the wheels but the Galaxies don't.

Love the brand name - it reminds me of an eye chart or a bad Scrabble hand.

Do you mean Ansen Top Eliminators? Those were spoked; Sprints were slotted. Even then, Revell made the centers too large and flat: (source: http://vintagewheelcatalogs.com/ansen/)

Thanks for the response, Tim - just to be fair, here's what I did with the taillights on my AMT '65 ex-Rat Packer. Haven't done the chrome trim yet but I cast and installed the red tail and clear backup lenses:

Not crazy about the "solid hunk-o-chrome" taillights (I notice AMT didn't find the separate lenses "too fiddly" for the new wagons); like with the '65 Belvedere, just another thing I'll have to mold and cast. Even putting them on the clear parts tree in one piece would have been better. Other than that, looks like an excellent kit that should render the Trumpeter offering obsolete.

Kits moved to the clearance aisle here - what's left is a couple Coke vans, one Coke '32 sedan delivery, and one snow plow truck - none of them marked down. Star Trek stuff is on an end cap, all discounted to $10 each.
