  1. You know I love building wreckers Kerry ! They've sorta taken a backseat to the snowplows right now ..but always watching for ideas . I picked up a workstar cab recently planning a town plow..then I saw this Friggin squirrels

  3. Thanks Warren I typically dont use straight black for tires either . The grimy black looks very good One tip another modeler suggested years ago was to use testors us army helo drab for tires, has this brownish green hue that really looks like older sun baked rubber .
  4. Outstanding work your doing ! Glad you chose to add frame length it looks much better . Your springs should hold the curve . Mine on oshkosh were all stacked up , I ended up just bending them around spray can and surprisingly they stayed !

  15. Very cool project ! Going with a daycab certainly avoids dealing with replacing all the rivets getting the sleeper joint clean !! You mentioned going shorter wheelbase, interesting

  18. Moving right along ! You found out the hardest part of big rig building, questionable instructions and flash lol Your knocking right out though . Building the suspension off the frame can help coverage just be sure everything will fit after on chassis. I messed up once not having it square and it didnt want to fit .

  20. Thanks everyone! I appreciate the feedback Puttering around this wknd I found a minute to scratch the grates for the hopper . Guess those days taking wood shop class weren't wasted ! I still remember how to make frames . It's just angle and rod . Few small tabs hold it from dropping into hopper
  21. Outstanding work Warren !!! I spotted the worn tires right away, really shows your attention to detail building a logger. Adding the crane is a cool touch too ! The mock up photo looks fantastic
