Great looking build, engine detail is terrific! If the sun ever comes out, that deserves some in the sun pictures to bring the color out. great job!

Can we see your model stash?

Ratio of built to unbuilt, interesting thought. I have 83 built and roughly 800 unbuilt, in my mind, I’m doing pretty good? like a lot of you guys, I have bought a lot of kits from my youth that eventually I want to recreate, I can remember the colors I used on them, and can now build them much better. I also have a lot of big rigs and trailers, lusted after them as a kid, but they were twice the cost of a car kit, so I never bought/built any, so now as an adult , I’ve bought all the rig kits I always wanted. And like many of you, just looking at the box art zooms me right back to when I built the kit as a kid, right down to the strong enamel paint smell and the not on purpose tube glue high......, lol. -

I suppose my thought is ‘better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it’ -

How do I get anything done???

That sir, does not qualify as a mess. As penance, you must start 3 more kits, and do them on top of what’s already on the bench? -

Cool! Nothing like starting from scratch AND having some space to operate in, can’t wait to see it come together.

Well, have decided to finish this finally, been chipping away at it, but now bench is clean ( no, I actually cleaned the bench ), so I am committed to getting this done. Interior pic was taken a bit ago, second pic is the rig actually physically on the bench....., need to finish it for a show on November 24.

Congrats, that’s awesome! Best of luck on a quick house re-hab, then you can focus on the important part, the model room and garage ?

I am pretty close to Oneida lake/Sylvan beach area. 1/2 way between Oneida and Rome . -

Couldn’t find the answer to that, but, I still think that red stripe would look fantastic on it? -

Haha, thanks everyone, glad it’s not just me? I think I will do a bit of a clean up at some point tomorrow, as I do need some space back . As to all the paint cans, that was all stuff that was in ‘current use’, so I had it all within arms reach. The golf balls on the other hand, well, sometimes I set things down on the nearest flat surface..... Steve, bench looks great now, now sit down and make a new mess? -
This is the current state of my bench...., it’s 6 feet long, 3 feet deep, and I don’t even have the full area of the cutting mat to work on......., it’s a wonder I get anything accomplished, lol.
