  1. I painted the wheels I printed for my 918 and decided to do a quick mock-up, so I stuck on the front & rear fascia and put decided to check the windshield for fit. Lo and behold, the curvature of the windshield doesn't match the curve of the frame. Dunno what I'll do to make it work. I think the the part I glued on the inside of the frame distorted it somewhat, as I've never heard of anyone else having this issue. Murph strikes again!
  2. Awesome job James! I designed and printed a body but still haven't gotten around to doing anything with it (par for me). I may have to pirate your chassis design to get me in the mood.
  3. Perfect fit! Nice detail as well.
  4. Well done!
  5. Sorry for the lack of updates but I haven't had much bench time. I had painted my 918 back in September but used liquid mask on some of the harder places to mask with tape and it was a headache to remove. This was the hardest model to paint that I've ever done. Lots of nooks & crannies that needed to be black. In the end it turned out pretty well. The color is beautiful and if I had worked more on smoothing the color before clearing it would be a perfect paint job. Now to put it all together.
  6. They have to give the market what it wants. I personally like the new Vettes.
  7. Everyone can't upgrade to 11 because of the system reqs. If my wife's laptop didn't die she'd still be on 10 because it wasn't up to spec.
  8. Very nicely done!
  9. Before doing any painting make sure you test fit everything. Sometimes there are inconsistencies between parts while printing or casting. As for painting, I'd paint anything that's a different color before assembly if you're airbrushing, and especially the wheels if the centers are one color and the rim chrome or aluminum. Enjoy!
  10. They have them. They look like new additions too!
  11. Nice catch on the door panel! Don't think I would've noticed it, but looking at my kit its easy to see.
  12. Test it on a scrap body if you have one.
  13. Definitely worth a build thread! Keep it up.
  14. I bought his Powerstroke a couple of months ago and was not pleased. Tho it was shipped quickly the heads were well printed (see pics). He sent an LS I guess as a consolation but that doesn't help the situation. Lucky for me I have a CAD program and a printer so I will be duplicating the heads and reprinting them. I won't say don't buy it because you can also use styrene rod and fabricate another set, or modify some gas engine heads. What I am saying is that when you buy a product you expect it to be usable as is. I've bought from him before and not been this disappointed so I'll not bash him.
  15. I don't see the one I took but here is the hub. https://www.coursera.org/courses?query=3d printing
  16. Resin tech is changing rapidly, so the resin used in the past is not the same as what is being put out today. I took a course in 3D printing before I put down the money for a printer, and learned resins developed today are made for for longer life. I had a body printed over a year ago and its still white, and still in as-printed condition. It was printed in standard resin. But yes, I'd say the jury is still out on how long it will last.
  17. I was asking that to see if there was a way to access it on another program but it looks like you're stuck with Outlook. I have gmail but access it through outlook and if I go to google I can add more filters than Outlook. You don't appear to have that option.
  18. I bought my replacement regulator off Amazon that's worked of the last two years but it was Paasche and wouldn't fit your compressor but most name brand airbrush companies sell them so you might look there. Since you're upgrading your airbrush you might want to see if the brand you're buying sells regs. Before going the reg route though, remove your old one and check for rust in the tank. If its present, get a whole new compressor.
  19. Interesting old schoolish project! I like the half top but IMHO it needs t be sectioned or cut down at the base. It looks a bit too tall.
  20. When you write your email address, what goes after the @ symbol?
  21. What is your email domain? Gmail, Yahoo, AOL?
  22. There is a similar wheel on Cults3D. You can buy the file and there are a few folks on the forum that will print it, according to posts I've seen. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/borbet-wheel-for-diecast-and-rc-model-1-43-1-24-1-18-1-64
