  1. That's a sweet pick David!
  2. I decided to weird this one out. I hope concept cars are okay because I'm going with the '56 Club DeMer. I've had the kit a while and was planning on making it a "what if Pontiac had made this" but never did. Its a curbie that I'll add a drivetrain to, and make it look a bit less concept with some Corvette parts, and ditching the fin. I'm kinda aiming for the second pic that is a rendering someone made in Grand Theft Auto. It won't be easy but I'm counting on it being fun.
  3. This C7 is a combination of the Foose C7 and the C7R race car. Because I used the stock hood, the racing manifold was too tall so I designed and printed a replacement manifold. I removed all of the racing equipment from the trunk area and added a fuel cell, battery, and fire suppression equipment. This was not a plug and play operation, there was a lot of trimming and adjusting required because although they are both Revell C7 Corvettes, they are very different cars.
  4. Also, I just printed this and it didn't require any knowledge. The file was set up with multiple thicknesses so reducing it didn't cause it to be too thin. I did it on an FDM printer but it would be smoother on a resin printer but I only print parts on my small resin printer.
  5. You have to learn CAD to make your own files but not to 3D print. You can learn how to use a program like Blender to clean up files but full CAD ability isn't necessary for that. It helps but its not for everyone, tho. I've been practicing CAD for about 6 months and here are some of my designs.
  6. Really coming along nicely! I love the heat shield work.
  7. Very nicely done!
  8. Nice! I had a silver 1985 base model and that brings back memories. Well, the paint matches it anyway. ?
  9. No need for apologies. You gave it a good go and that's all we can ask for. Thanks for putting the time in on it.
  10. Nice!
  11. Killer build! Nice catch.
  12. Nicely done!
  13. Thanks Larry.
  14. Nice fabrication work! I'm an engine man so that is right down my alley!
  15. There seems to be no way to keep folks from voting multiple times tho. I didn't actually vote a second time but it let me back in.
  16. Awesome work! Fantastic detail!
  17. Thanks Bob, I like them too. Its just another flavor for the kitchen I say.
  18. Thanks Jim, sorry for assuming everyone referred to diecast metal cars as DC. It was a 67 Mustang at Hobby Lobby that I copped at the 40% discount (as shown in the pic). You actually get two sets, one with a black center, and one set chrome, but be advised that they are very wide. In fact I cut the front rim down and replaced the tire with a set I printed. To fit them under the rear I had to cut out the rear seat, and modify another chassis to fit them under it.
