  1. Keeps getting better Dave!!
  2. Looking very much forward to this Rex!!
  3. Whoa HO HO!!! Looky what we've got here!! VERY cool and love the paint and woodgrain effects Mike. Hell yeah!!!
  4. Beautiful detailing as usual Steven. I've got the same opinion about convertibles getting more attention than usual as the interiors are little showcases in themselves.
  5. If your detailing and paint work are on par with that figure then we're all in for a show.
  6. Those air cleaner decals on late 60's / early 70's can be tricky but it looks like you got yours to lay down nicely. When I first started out in modeling I used thread as for spark plug wires which worked fairly well for a while and then I discovered the material for them from Lex's Scale Modeling. Check it out: Lex's Scale Modeling Detailing Supplies (bravehost.com) Coming along nicely here Ken
  7. Looks good from the angles I'm lookin' at. That engine looks good too.
  8. Next step......wheels and tires. As you can see in the comparison photo below, molded tire lettering removal in progress and the replacement logo decals below...
  9. Thanks Carl. Glad you're here dude. Really appreciate the very kind comments Mike. 'Preciate it Ed. I used Testors Semi Gloss Black Lacquer as a covering base to completely cover the orange molded plastic. After that I used MM Semi Gloss Black acrylic because it's a little more toned down in luster in comparison to the lacquer based semi gloss black that I used as a base. I masked around the fabric sections of the seats and used MM Flat Black acrylic to replicate the low luster of the fabric. Dash and door panels received the Testors SG Black and then MM SG Black. Thanks Danno! Thank you Dan. Dang it ....I missed the dang HAMMS show this year. No worries....I'll be at the NATS for sure.
  10. I'm tuned in to this one ol' buddy. Got any updates on her?
  11. Jeez!!! I really like all this custom work going on Martin. Fantastically done so far and I'll be tuning in to this one.
  12. I really like that stance and the yellow laid down and covered quite nicely. Great paint scheme as well.
  13. All the creativity and fabrication going on here are at a surplus!!! This is going to be one sharp ride when it's all said and done and I'll definitely be following along.
  14. Very nicely cast and detailed out engine. Looking forward to more of this one.
  15. WOW!!! And I do mean me some WOW!! Frickin' LOVIN' this.
  16. That's gonna look sweet.
  17. Thank you Mike, Doyle and Dan!! Today saw the completion of the interior. I made a couple of changes and a few upgrades to what was already there OOB. I didn't like the fake looking shifter lever so I made my own from a bobby pin. Model Car Garage PE adorns areas of the dash and a set of keys now hang from the ignition switch. Floor mats are from Plastic Dreams.
  18. These are sharp cars and I like the scheme that you're looking at in red. Are you gonna go with the "340" graphic on the hood?
  19. You paint and finish work are to be envied. I really like what I'm seeing here. I didn't say it earlier but you did a bang up job on that dash as well.
  20. I've seen those kits a time or two and have always wanted to do something like that but improve on the diorama a little. Cool score!!
  21. That Duplicolor Chrome turned out pretty dang good.
  22. Totally get it Roger. Hang in there dude. Will be looking forward to seeing this one going when you do get back to it.
  23. Thanks fellas!! Next up.....the interior. This dash took me pretty much a whole week to get done and it's not the easiest of dashes to negotiate in terms of modeling. I feel that I've turned out a lot better ones than this, but you'll see what I've got to work with. Here's what I started with: I ended up cleaning things up a bit flash wise and drilling out all the gauge impressions. I had some gauges from Goffer Racing that I used for the smaller gauges but used the OOB ones for the speedo and tach to stay as close to OEM look as possible. I then cut them down to squares and glued them in from the back side. The swing pedal levers were then thinned out to a truer to scale thickness and the whole dash was painted up and detailed. The "Camaro" emblem on the glove box was a PE offering from Model Car Garage and the radio face station tuning decal was from the spares box.
  24. I remember these kits. Lookin' good so far Dave and looking forward to more......
