  1. Looking forward to see your progress on this Dave.
  2. This turned out really good GB! Being a big Maverick/ Comet fan I am SO wanting a Comet kit to add to my Maverick kit stash and this is a good inspiration to build one of these. The one thing that I don't really care for on Jo-Han kits is the lack of any shock towers but hey....you did a great job with what you had. Two thumbs up bud. ??
  3. Good lookin' Mustang Scott!
  4. You guys, you guys , you guys! Folks like you and Francis are really bringin' out the big guns with these builds of yours. Pure awesomeness.
  5. Really on a roll with this one now Francis. That rear diff and suspension are lookin' mighty spiffy. Very good attention to detail and fantastic fabrication work brother.
  6. Yessiree. You'll see what I'm talking about in this update buddy. 'Preciate you stoppin' in Tim. So far it hasn't kicked my tail yet. Alright gang, I got a very light coat RLM 76 (light blue) applied to the bottom of the aircraft as of yesterday morning.
  7. Amazing paint work goin on here. Gloss job on that paint looks flawless!
  8. It's good to see another update on this Simon as I look forward to every one of 'em. Nice choice on the softer lighting.

    COP OUT

Man I haven't seen THAT kit in years!!! Very well built and detailed.
  10. And that's how it's done right there folks! OMG I don't think there's anything that I don't like about this build. I mean....it's all there. Great paint, fantastic detailing and just an all around good lookin' build. Way to go John.
  11. Real good shine and good details on this one RRR. Love the color
  12. Thanks Pete. It took me a while to get a method that "worked" for me. Those are very nicely wound & uniform coils you've got on that spring Bill. Great method man.
  13. Sorry about the late reply John. Thanks a million for the great comment buddy.
  14. Whadda paint job!! Very nicely done!!!
  15. Very nice and clean work on this. Love the color!
  16. A truly great job on this car.
  17. LOVE it! Great paint and very cool engine work.
  18. Always loved V-8 Vegas. Great job on this car Ray.
  19. Dang Tony! That turned out very well!!
  20. I'm right there with you on building convincing throttle linkage Shaun. In the link that Les posted up on my Maverick I used .015 solder for the linkage along with some PE carburetor levers and pivot points. Before cutting the solder to length I stretched a section of it out a bit to make sure that it was nice and straight. After cutting to length I flattened the ends of the levers to make the attachments a little cleaner. The throttle return spring was taken from a 1:1 scale 3157 turn signal bulb. I carefully bent the ends in a hook fashion and attached it to the lever and bracket. I could've gone the extra mile and used some hardware at the lever mounting points but hey......it's gotta end somewhere.
  21. Thanks Francis. That's actually a base to add color to. The idea is for that pattern to be seen in the paint as to depict a worn paint job. I used this one my Arado 234 Blitz. If you look you can see the warble through the paint work.
