You pulled off a great job with that bird Keith. Sometimes PE can be kind of rough but it does add a bit more depth into a build. Have you tried the Quinta Studios 3D decals for instrument panels and cockpit details on some of these birds? Wanna talk about adding a whole new level of detail in the pit area!! I used to use PE for instrument panels and consoles but with these Quinta Decals.....that is a thing of the past. This is some outstanding work on this F3F here bud.

Man......you have got NO kick coming after that build Keith as this turned out to be one heckuva finish. I have a love for WWII warbirds across the board but I have a strong interest in Bf109's and Fw190's so I light up every time I see these two subjects in a title line. Really sorry to hear about the accident with the finished build but am sure you'll put 'er back together in good fashion. Sending a PM...........

I remember when Pintos were all over the place as a kid and I remember this kit too. Thank you for taking us on a trip down memory lane with a great replication of this car. Beautiful work Racine.

Thank you Bob, Rastislav and Gabriel for the good comments!

This build AND the photography of it are "all that". That paint finish and details bring this puppy to life. Beautiful car Greg.

This turned out to be a good lookin' build Nigel. You picked the details out nicely in that interior bud.

Our 1:1 1955 Chevy Build, Christmas Gift For The Wife
mustang1989 replied to 69H.O.Firebird's topic in Model Cars
Building copies of our 1:1 rides is always alot of fun. The good thing is that we've got all the reference material we'll need for a build like this either right outside in our driveway or in pictures of them. Yours turned out fabulous Bruce!! -
Mister that is one sharp ride right there. I've seen a lot of things done with Volkswagens but I have yet to see something like this. Outstanding paint, weather and detail work. WOW!!!
-
Sounds like a LOT of work that you put into this kit to achieve this result Terry. A great effort and a terrific outcome.
-
Thanks fellas. This was indeed a fun kit to build!!

Looks like you packed in 7 good ones for the year Al. That blue F-100 really stands out to me but well done on all of 'em bud.
-
Going there now bud and thanks!!
-
You sure finished out the year with some good-looking builds Greg but I'm particularly drawn to this one. Which kit is this and what all did you do to it to get this look? Brilliant build.
-
Man that is frickin' SHARP!! Your hard work sure paid off on this one Sam. Love the wheel/ tire combo on this car.
-
Great usage of outside parts on it too. I used the Monogram 59 Impala engine on mine (which looks like the same engine that 's in the 59 Caddy kit). Fit right in there like it was meant to.
-
I've taken one of these on and know firsthand how challenging these can be. The color choice on yours really brought out the best in the car and you picked out all of the chrome trim and details perfectly. Where'd you source the wheels from as they go well on this.

For some reason I thought I'd already posted on this but .......it doens't look like it went through. Fantastic subject that I never knew existed outside a Christmas claymation favorite growing up. Your take on this turned out to be a real treat to the eyes buddy. Great work!!
-
I'll have to look into that for the next older car build I do. Thanks bud.
-
Thanks Dave!! Where'd you score the Burger King bag from?
-
Thank you all for the great comments!! Thanks buddy!! The wheels are what make this thing IMO. The kit already had the bluing / yellowed areas on the chrome.

A good lookin' trio of models there Niko. That gasser looks "dead on" cool dude. Perfect detailing and good overall look to it. NICE! The Malibu turned out to be a good looking build as well.....especially for it being in 1/32 scale. I would LOVE to get my hands ahold of a good 1/25 scale kit of a 79-82 Malibu.
-
I do love me a good General Lee and Bandit build for sure and those turned out pretty frickin' snazzy Stuart. What I really had my eye on was the carrier with all of the planes on deck in 1/700 scale. LOTS of patience in getting all of those planes done as well as the details on the ship itself. Which kit is that anyways?
