  1. Man this thing is looking good Dann. I really like the first one you built back on the first page of this WIP. Following......
  2. Very sharp work. I know the feeling of wanting to get a build done over a weekend and it not working out. Hang in there and continue to be patient. You're doing one helluva job.
  3. Thanks JJ!! I'll be watching for that show Dann. Really looking forward to it.
  4. Thanks Carl!! Got the engine and transmission installed this morning so now progress should move right along.
  5. I'm really enjoying watching this one come together Steve. Good progress.
  6. Sorry for the late reply. Thanks Ron.
  7. Looks really good to me NJ! Nice details.
  8. Sooooooo Sooooo Soooooo cleanly and nicely built. Very nice work on these cars. Freekin' WOW!!!!!
  9. Thanks Dann. That might help some. I'll be checking into that. Revell actually did a really good job with this kit and I'd recommend it to anybody that wants to build a Charger. Lots of good ideas and details.
  10. Thanks Leroy, Vi Mar and Dann. Ok fellas. Now I can move ahead with the rest of the build now that I've got this part out of the way. I may come up with another air cleaner out of the stash as I'm feeling kind of "meh" about this one. But I'll call this completed.....for now.
  11. YEP! This'll be a show winner when she's all done. Lookin' Good Steven.
  12. LOL!! No Vi not that one. I've seen replicas of these cars on the streets in the past and decided to build a General Lee like I would like to have it look in real life. Now you've got me wanting to search for that episode though.
  13. Thanks Dave. ?
  14. After working with the Foose F-100 kit I'm definitely a fan of the way the newer Revell kits pretty much just fall together,. I thoroughly enjoyed that one myself and have already got another one of those after finishing my Demon II version of that kit.
  15. I keep hearing a lot of good stuff about this kit on reviews and watching you build this one up might just tip me over the edge to grab one. Engine looks great in there Geoff.
  16. Today saw the completion of the engine bay prep. The one thing I couldn't get over was the clear windshield washer bottle out of the box. A little weird but I guess they were trying to appeal to the average modeler. I made the necessary corrections to it and managed to finish up the engine bay today. Shock studs and retaining nuts were added to the shock towers, brake lines were fabricated and added and I brought out the highlights of the steering column with a silver lead pencil. Anyhow ....here's the engine bay all prepped for that 440 engine to be installed hopefully shortly....
  17. Thanks Dave, Jeremy and Martin. Martin: I'm definitely not going for originality on this one. She'll be shinier, lower and a lot more aggressive looking than the original Lee.
  18. Engine electrical routing and layout are "All That" AND a bag of party mix. WOW!!!!
  19. I'll be watching this. Looks to be one for the books.
  20. That's a good go to kit for all your Pro Street needs in my book. Good call.
  21. Yeah the "Snap, Crackle, Pop" sounds send chills up my spine every time while fitting completed bodies over the completed interior tubs and chassis. This is looking really good on its wheels.
  22. Thanks Mike. Always sucks putting them down but as you know it's better than them suffering any more. Okay......I managed to get the hair raising task of installing the wheels all done. Sounds simple but I made the wheel mounting holes on the rims an oval so I could get this one just wee tad lower. Had to get all the wheels at just the right height so I wouldn't wind up with a "3 wheeler". The stance is now locked in. I also got the back panel all painted up, detailed up, bumpered up and installed. I hit the body with a little more polish but can tell I need to do it again just to get it just right.
  23. Very good masking and painting on those side stripes. You're right about that point about the nerve racking part of the paint job. When you have lots of time involved to get to this point it sure seems like a gamble when we are faced with a pivotable task of this nature.
  24. Looking forward to more on this one! So far this is turning out pretty dang good.
