Thanks Dave and Bill!! Managed to dispense and apply the paint. This stuff went on really good and I like the shade of color. I'll start the wet sanding process in a few days to smooth everything out that much more before I start with the decaling and clear coats. We'll be using the "Wet Look" clear on this one so it'll really pop.

Thanks Jeremy. Glad to have you along man.

Thanks Martin. Always had interest in this car. Hell.....I grew up with her. Found the paint that I want to use. I've been eyeballing this color anyways because I've seen a few of the newer Chargers painted this color and I have developed a liking to it. Here we are all cleaned up and primed. Still gotta do a teeny bit of sanding but it went on really smooth:

Nice touch with the brackets on the air cleaner. Would've never thought of that one.

I'll definitely be tuned into this one when you get it back on the bench. Had a couple of projects that I stalled out on as well....usually happens when I put a lot into one. -
LOL! An egg on wheels! Progress is looking good so far Martin.

That's about as good of a job as I've ever seen from this kit. Great work!!!!

I'm building this one as part of a Group Build that I've got going on elsewhere. I'll start with an MPC General Lee kit which I'll be using bits and pieces from to include decals and the parts necessary to make this a General Lee. It's not going to be a completely genuine "Lee 1" build as I'll be making it an R/T and changing some things up here and there. I also want to say that although this will be decked out with all the decals that came on the GL that I'm not going to be centering my build on that which causes alot of stir up. I'll be concentrating on the build itself rather than any politics surrounding it. I merely enjoyed the show as a kid and even built a GL when I was in the 6th grade. It didn't turn out the way I'd hoped but I get a second chance to build a car that I've always wanted to build since then. I picked this kit up for $10 at the last show I went to in San Antonio back in February: 90% of the build will be from this kit which is a far better offering than the MPC version ever thought about being and I picked it up from an Austin Show in 2015 for $10 as well: nd to put a little bit of a spin on this car to get it to look the way I want it to look I'll be using the wider wheels from the AMT Eckler Corvette

It's been a while since I've been on here but one of the first things I see when I do is this beauty. Like Rich, I don't really follow the custom car stuff very much......but I'm going to follow this one. Looks like you're pretty much throwing the whole "shebang" at this car.

Everything about this car is just clicking. I mean it looks dead on!!! Wow!!!

Ok everybody. I’ve got my next aircraft lined up and ready to put on the bench next to my other couple of builds that are going on. This one is a bit of a different style bird than most folks are used to seeing. The Blohm & Voss BV-141 derived from the need for a Reconnaissance / Light Bomber role for the Luftwaffe in 1938. The idea behind this highly unusual aircraft was to allow an unobstructed view to any area being surveyed from the R/H side. The aircraft never saw operational service due to the German Air Ministry’s disapproval of it’s odd appearance and being underpowered despite its power plant being that of one of Germany’s “Top Dog” fighters, the Fw-190A series. Having a top speed of 229 mph was not enough to impress the Ministry and the project was cancelled in favor of the much nimbler and sleek conventionally designed twin engine Fw-189 reconnaissance aircraft. Several 1/48 scale kits have been released to replicate this unusual aircraft in scale but IMO (as well as the general modeling community) this seems to be the best kit in which to do that with. The kit I’ll be going with will be Hobby Boss’s release of the BV-141B. I’ve been wanting to build this aircraft for about 15 years and now’s my chance.

Well fellas....It's finally come to an end. I started this kit over three years ago and ran into a lot of problematic areas with this kit. To say that this kit has now moved into #1 on my most difficult/ frustrating and sometimes angering build would simply be an understatement. It was so bad that I stepped away from aircraft building altogether for those 3 years. Some of it I brought on myself by making things more difficult than they needed to be and other areas were just plain ridiculous the way Hasegawa put this thing together. This kit is touted to be one of the best scale model representations of this iconic plane and on that point I'll agree once it's built. Getting there was the difficult part for me. Enough of that banter though. Thanks go out to all who followed, commented and helped out since its beginning. After 3 long years my Arado is finally completed: Finished cockpit photo In progress cockpit photo: aaaaaaaaand engine shots:

I couldn't have said that better myself. I remember these kits back from my childhood and while I'll never build one I can certainly admire the good work that you've put into this.
