  1. I glanced at the TV earlier today just as a GMC heavy duty truck commercial came on. They featured their HD truck pulling several different things the fist of which was the Main and Poteet Speed Demon Bonneville streamliner LSR vehicle. Very cool indeed and nice choice GMC!
  2. The Galaxie product is too angular in the grille and front fender areas. I owned a 1:1 forty eight and those errors are very obvoius.
  3. Don Holthaus is a personal friend of ours and we had several conversations about just that. Nobody ever expressed any interest in buying the business once they realized that Don and his wife Carol literally were working Seven days a week to maintain their level of productivity.
  4. Where did you score this one? Wally World?
  5. Thanks for posting these excellent images. Great stuff for sure. Very well done!
  6. I am a blue bow tie guy and Lovin your '51 build here.
  7. Very interesting project. I scratch build antique travel trailers and really appreciate the work you are doing here. There are endless measurements necessary plus the issues of keeping panels straight and square. Congratulations on what you're doing. I'll be following along.
  8. Great planning and work here. I'm sure this will inspire more than a few will be inspired by this.
  9. IIRC the 1:1 version of this was strictly a show car and never actually ran.
  10. Very nice. styling done well.
  11. I just looked at the HL ad for this coming week and they are having another featuring boxed model kits at 40% off.(Are they un-boxed ones available?)
  12. Looking very promising. Glad to see you sticking with your project.
  13. Is it available in 3X or is that size extra?
  14. Lee,you must have been at one of our Toledo NNL's the year we set out a faux can of the new infamous Clearview 2000. Someone made up a display board of pages from various kits that had been produced in both colored and clear. They were displayed side by side with the ridiculous claim that any colored part could be sprayed with it and would turn clear. We had a few " believers " who wanted to order it by the case! A fun time for sure. I still have a copy of the fake labels we made for this gag.
  15. This seems to be a less labor intensive method to achieve that real spoke look than the lacing kit method. I may indeed attempt to do this on a future project. Thanks for sharing your technique with us.
  16. It really liking these Corvette bumpers. Their styling flows very well in that area. IMHO much better choice than the other attempts. Looking forward to seeing this play out.
  17. Your kit....your rules.
  18. Clever stuff. Great to build what you need from whatever is available.
  19. Thanks for posting these photos. I very seldom see this kit built in any form. Nice clean build.
  20. PM me your email address and I'll take a pix of those springs in place on my model
  21. Looking very promising. Are you printing the body as well?
  22. Exactly like that. I spotted them at a local car show and later scratch built a set for one of my models.
  23. Great looking brick wall.
