  1. Not sure if this was the same mold as the Superstang. The front end is horrible the rest of the body isn’t too bad.
  2. The Mustang did give Chip Foose the idea to recreate it in a weird sort of way But with Camaro taillights. ? I wonder when he sketched the build he subconsciously thought that was a good idea. I turned the Lindberg 71 Mustang (Old Palmer mold) into a Mad Max version because the Falcon had a very similar hood as the Mach1.
  3. If I had to guess I’d say say Keith Marks. I built this kit with his decals about 15 years ago so it’s little dusty. I was surprised the LED flashlight I was holding to get a good close up made the headlights look very realistic. If anyone cares the original 67 GT350 tire size was E70-15. The kit tires are F70-14 and I assume from the groove in the sidewall they are supposed to be a whitewall or redline so I may do a tire swap on mine if I can find the correct RWL tires in another kit.
  4. I’ve seen it a few times myself. It was the first movie date for my wife and I when the move came out. I had the 72 Mach1 and maybe she thought it’s not a time machine but was cool nonetheless it’s still in my garage and she’s still my wife. ? I almost forgot - great build. There are some movies and cars that stand the test of time and although the real car wasn’t great it did make for a good (first) movie. I wasn’t a huge fans of the sequels but the original does take me back in time.? You need to build the VW bus next to maybe Marty’s truck or Doc’s car. ?
  5. No surprise on either choice. I’d just like to get something finished before the end of October.
  6. Amen to that. I have the Revell 1/12 GT350, the Trumpeter 1/12 GT40, The Otaki 1/12 72 Mach1 and some other large scale kits which would keep me busy for a long time just to build one of them. The MFH kits are pretty incredible but I’ll follow along for now.
  7. Nice job on what looks like another AMT kit of the era where the bumpers just seemed to look too big for the car but the Mustang II kit I built had the same issue.
  8. Very nicely done And beautiful paint Mate.
  9. Yes - the multi-piece body ones were just awful.
  10. Very well done and thinking outside the box.
  11. Saw this resin body on Ebay to replicate Eleanor. The bumper and front isn’t destroyed enough. The Segal Mustang was not so lucky.
  12. Looks great and for some reason I am hungry. Maybe some Mario Brothers figures would add more pizazz to the pizza truck.
  13. Cool. Just don’t crush it. ?
  14. Cool. What are the plans for the Mustang? ?
  15. The Federated one looks decent. Is that an older issue?
  16. Here is the kit decal sheet if anyone has not seen one.
  17. That’s cool. He’s a great guy.
  18. Yes it is expensive - more than the kit actually and for the 1/24 Fujimi kits also.
  19. Nice job on a kit that is tough even just building box stock. Decals can certainly be a nemesis on older kits with no aftermarket replacements available. Indycals has the #4 JPS decals probably because the kit ones probably look yellow on a black car and a set for the Lyn St James Secret livery.
  20. Looking good Bill. t will look great at some of the shows next year. I was at the Simeone museum yesterday and it seemed so empty without table of models and vendors and hundreds of people. It was a Saturday around noon and there were less than ten visitors there counting my daughter and me.
  21. It’s not been a productive building summer for me As I have been enjoying the outdoors more but I did manage to get most of the tree parts painted last night. The body was painted last year with the Testors colorshift paint to mimic the Mysticrome paint.
  22. For a minute there I thought I missed the set. Now that I think about it that’s pretty unlikely. ?
  23. I hope that is the last word on this topic but I doubt it. ?
