  1. My choices would a Mack B model, White COE and a GMC cracker box as retro trucks. To have these done as models with details not included in cast replicas. In my specialty of models would be a generic fire cab ala TCM ( truck cab manufactures) fire cab with no name blank body shell and various add- ons to make manufactures plated cabs. greg
  2. Very nice job and great gift idea, just have to add my two cents: side windows and windshield wiper clean area on windshield. Happy Holidays greg

  11. In another thread (Corvair engine air duct) the discussion went about the ways AMT attempted to cut costs near its end in Michigan. The American LaFrance fire trucks kits were a good example of the attempt to cut cost by eliminating the clear yellow and red trees and dechroming the kits. They placed those parts on the chrome tree. They even shot the ladder in the Ladder Chief in white plastic, Chrome parts from original release and white plastic from mid 70's /80's releases. greg
  12. Now way back, I rear ended a Pinto with my Dodge Ramcharger sliding on ice, When I hit the Pinto I was expecting the worst of explosion and fire between the two cars, I remember that big rear window shattering to a million pieces. pushed the pinto into a car in front of him that was stopped to make a left turn, so my insurance paid for two car repairs, In the end the Pinto driver got paid for personal injury from my insurance. He took the money and didn't pay his ambulance bill, so I let the ambulance company know about that and he went straight to collection.

  16. Congrats on a fine build, I am glad I got stuck in fire apparatus, construction equipment would have been my next hurdle, thank God for the AMT D8 cat to put a stop to that. Always wanted to do a Gradall XL4100 excavator. greg
  17. I saw both movies, I am not a movie goer, last seen movie prior to last week= "Top Gun." I enjoyed both movies. Can't believe you Quaker Commonwealther didn't support a movie about your fellow Pittsburgh icon. Suggest you read the original "Esquire" article. greg

  22. I apologize as I was part of the GLMFAA group that at first displayed in the vending area under Herb Jackson and later was given space by John to display. In the club house we had other displayers as group 25, a NASCAR, and a military displayer. Had no idea he charged you I should have known since you charged admission. greg
