Last Modelhaus Order
mikemodeler replied to unclescott58's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
In their message online, they state to contact them if your information changes either by calling 217-864-4402 or email them at models@modelhaus.com . I would assume that this would apply to credit card, email address or shipping address changes. They also state that you can delete items from your order but you CANNOT add to it. As ZoomZoom pointed out, they planned on being retired by now and it will be another year before they can due to the onslaught of orders they received. I cannot imagine how many of us would delay our retirement a year to fulfill orders after stating our intention to retire a year in advance. That alone speaks volumes about Don and Carol and how they feel about us as customers, many would have just shut down the website and left on their terms. -
BNL or VCG resins experiences?
mikemodeler replied to matthijsgrit's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Can't vouch for BNL, never bought any thing from them. VCG has nice stuff, good service and a nice guy. I have one of their Chevy big blocks and haven't built it yet, but in looking it over it seems pretty nice with just a little clean up needed. -
Moebius 1970 Ford F-100
mikemodeler replied to Steamboat's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Very nice, looks like a cleanly built and detailed truck! Your Bare Metal foil looks great, I suspect it wasn't as easy to do as the pictures indicate. -
Absolutely beautiful, great details and you nailed the look!

Last Modelhaus Order
mikemodeler replied to unclescott58's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Waiting on my order from July 4, 2016. No hurry, I have a ton of other stuff to build to keep me busy. Some of the nicest people I have ever met, sure hope they get to enjoy their retirement and this crush of orders has given them an infusion of cash beyond what they imagined. -
Hobby Lobby made my day
mikemodeler replied to thatz4u's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Working in Virginia this week I found the Hobby Lobby in Glen Allen today at lunch. Did some walking around as it was laid out a little differently and stumbled on a display of Ott lamps that were on clearance. Originally marked $59.99, got one today for $21.49! Did some more walking around and found a Revell Finks Speedwagon on clearance for $8.49 and while a buck higher than Ollies, I grabbed it figuring it will get parted out. -
Sometimes Google can be your best friend..... Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland 317 Roosevelt Ave SW Glen Burnie, MD 21061 410-768-3648 I believe it is $8 for his catalog. Google search Replicas and Miniatures and some people have created albums of the pieces and parts they have purchased over the years from Norm. My personal experience was outstanding, to the point of him refunding some of my money because he directed me to another source for something I ordered from him and he felt it was a better product!

RMR resin 64 D100 questions
mikemodeler replied to 426 pack's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
FYI, the 64 D100 shortbed resin kit is under development, meaning it is not yet available. I would suggest contacting them to see when it will be ready to order. -
Free Time Hobbies
mikemodeler replied to Jhedir6's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
IIRC, they were at the NNL in Atlanta this past November. Nice selection and fair prices. -
His passing has had more of an effect on me than that of Chris Cornell. Not to diminish Chris's passing, it's just that the Allman Brothers music was a much bigger part of my life and holds many great memories from childhood. Just a shame that some great musicians have passed on recently but that All Star band in heaven just got a little better! Gregg was the mastermind behind the writing of the music- Duane and Dickie Betts brought it to life.

Sorry for your loss and even more sorry to hear about your family issues. For some, avoiding situations like the death of a sibling can be hard while others can be self centered and uncaring. Take solace in the fact that you were there for your dad and made an effort to have his family say their goodbyes. I lost my father to dementia 3 years ago and it was hard to see a once proud, strong, smart man reduced to a shell of his former self. I saw him about 6 weeks before he passed and while he kinda recognized me, I had a hard time seeing him like that. My mother passed last year from a series of strokes and that was harder to see as she had been doing well after losing my dad before they hit. I know that the VA is a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH shoot, have family and friends who have had dealings with them and it has been work for all of them.

'66 Chev crew dually
mikemodeler replied to dieseldawg142's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Like so many of your other builds, very impressive! Love the color scheme and as always, perfect execution on the crew cab conversion and chassis build. -
Update to my previous post- Got an email from Danny telling me my order shipped today ! Hard to believe that in about a week's time I will go from placing an order to having it on my doorstep! To be fair, what I ordered he had in stock but I ordered about 14 different items in various quantities and I cannot be more impressed with his turnaround time. Like I said, don't hesitate to order, the service and quality of the product is superior.

One-Stop Shop for All Things Aftermarket?
mikemodeler replied to Mr. Moparman's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I have had great success with two other resin places and highly recommend them: 1. Scenes Unlimited- Danny has the nicest stuff and great service. Wheels and Tires for most any vehicle you can think of. 2. Fireball Modelworks- Joseph has incredible stuff and you won't be disappointed. Great service as well! MAD has a lot of neat stuff, Kris is another resin caster with great product and service. -

I have seen a vendor at a couple of shows here in the Southeast that does something similar- Xtreme Scale Detail. They carry a lot of detail items and might have what you are looking for. www.xtremescaledetail.com -
Ollie's strike again
mikemodeler replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If you haven't signed up for an Ollie's card, do it next time you are there. I got a post card in the mail today that gives me an extra 15% off my next purchase, imagine another discount on top of an already great price! -
nice job, very clean and well detailed. Love the color.

Amy, There is a big model car swap meet in Wheaton at the county fairgrounds, usually in September. This would be a great place to sell off some of your Dad's stuff and a great way to see it going to a good home. Not sure of the dates but I am sure someone here can supply the date, it is usually on a Saturday/

Just wanted to give another shout out to Danny. I had been waiting for him to get a couple of items back into inventory and he let me know that he has them available via a PM and I sent him an order last night. 30 minutes later I have an email with an invoice and I have no doubt the order will be here before I know it! Another great caster who is serious about his customers and taking care of them. If you are wondering about ordering from Scenes Unlimited, don't hesitate to do so, you will be glad you did!

Bronco Resin parts on ebay
mikemodeler replied to cobramike's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I sent an email to Chris Olson regarding his resin products and he responded very quickly yesterday. A couple of emails later I had placed my order and he was prompt with a PayPal invoice and said to expect my order within a week or so. Order was based on this thread and others comments about his quality, looking forward to getting his stuff and finishing up a couple of builds.- 9 replies

I like it! That camper might get a little warm inside without any windows.
