  1. I received some news today that will be positively changing my financial situation so I will be sure to send some more money to Harry and encourage everyone to do the same. If you grab lunch out everyday, brown bag some leftovers or a PB&J sandwich and donate what you would have spent on lunch for a day or two a couple of times a month and help make a difference in Harry's life. I have never met him in person, but have gotten to know him and feel like we have been friends for years and think he would do the same for me. I personally will be buying fewer models this year, but hope that we all can divert the cost of a kit or two into Harry's fund and really help him.
  2. Refresh makes sense because that is what you are doing- taking an existing model and refreshing some of it but not all of it. I know that you have varying degrees of refresh for each build, but in essence outside of a total strip and makeover, what are you really doing to them? Think about the show Overhaulin'. Some vehicles required much more "overhauling" than others but in the end, they were all "overhauled".
  3. Very hard to read this update Cato. I can understand how defeating this is to him as I have a brother battling cancer for the second time in 4 years and it can get very depressing. I think the problem Harry has is that there are many of us wishing we could do more for him and be there in person to help raise his spirits and motivate him but we can't. It has to be hard on his kids, especially his son, to see him in this state and know that they are doing as much as they can. Is it possible to have an address where we can send letters and cards to Harry? Maybe some mail would perk him up and get him in the right frame of mind? I truly hope he can get better and be a part of the family here that misses him terribly.
  4. Clicked on the link to see his eBay listings and it looks like no one is bidding on his stuff, so we can hope that he fades away like so many other crappy casters. I would rather pay $50-60 or more for one of your kits Jeff than to save a couple of bucks and buy some poorly casted knockoff and I know I am not alone!
  5. I am digging these! Nice job as always, love the theme, now you have to start building the Medium Duty fleet!
  6. Nice start, I would contact Revell for a new hood, unless you can warm it up and get it back to the correct shape.
  7. That is really nice, looks great with the details.
  8. Which is why you are considered one of the best in the business Jeff! You have excellent products and a great business ethic.
  9. Casey has some of the cleanest, easiest to use wheels that are out there. He is a fast shipper and all in all nice guy!
  10. Done correctly, they could probably also do a similar era Wagoneer with just a few extra molds. I seem to remember Tonka had a pickup and Wagoneer metal truck back in the day!
  11. That is a shame Joseph because he makes some nice lightbars for emergency vehicles that are hard to find elsewhere. The right thing to do would be to refer people to your site so they could get the wheels as you designed them. I have yet to try casting copies of any kit parts, mainly because reputable casters like you have what I need and also have explained that it can be difficult to replicate parts.
  12. Tower Hobbies has this listed as being available in late May, kinda disappointing as it was originally set for March. Still going to get a few, have at least 4 different build ideas floating around in my head!
  13. As the folks at Nike would say.....Just do it! I would let her know what her son is doing is criminal and because she paid for the items with her credit card she is as guilty as he is and you will be certain to let the local police department know of her involvement. And if this has happened across state lines, the FBI will be notified as well!
  14. Nice job Chuck, gotta ask where is all the rust and weathering ? LOL ! That paint seems a little "busy" to my eye, but definitely the right color for that car.
  15. Best thing to do is to list it with "no holds, first one to pick it up gets it". Check and see if there is a local charity that helps battered women in need of furniture, many times they will get there same day to pick it up AND give you a charity tax form. Helps people in need and no more idiots texting you.
  16. What he said!
  17. Very nice, well detailed and clean!
  18. Nice work! Love all of the scratchbuilding in aluminum !
  19. That is very nice, like the detailing and cleanliness of the build. I really dig those Bilsteins on the rear!
  20. Keep an eye out at swap meets or on eBay, they are out there. Revell is about due to reissue one version or another of the trailer.
  21. That came out very nicely! Great details and weathering!
  22. In the past when I have ordered from them, they offered free shipping on $25 or more. I believe the coupon code was 01A15, but could be wrong. Some searching should yield the correct code.
  23. More like "Who doesn't?" LOL I have at least 20 WIP, half of them Jeeps or trucks and many of them could be completed in 30-60 minutes, if I didn't get distracted!
  24. Coming along nicely, love the color choices. Where did the wheels and tires come from? They don't look like kit pieces to me.
  25. As funny as that sounds, replacing air with nitrogen does have an impact on your tires. Unfortunately, most of the dealers do that to new cars and add $100 to the window sticker!
