Drop Danny at Scenes Unlimited a line and see what he may have in the works. He has expanded his line of truck wheels and tires recently and this could be something he is looking at.

Depending on your goal (getting rid of them or getting top dollar) this could be the way to go. eBay- worldwide marketplace with people purposely looking for model kits. Potential for top dollar but could be time consuming if you have a lot of kits to get rid of. Fees and rules might not be to your liking but best exposure to sell them. Craigslist- limited to the area in which you live, have to hope that like minded people are looking and deal with people in person who might try to beat you up on price. But you deal in cash and no shipping hassles like eBay or FB. Facebook- Multiple groups on FB allow selling and have some rules. Still have the potential for being ripped off but if you ship with tracking, you should be safe. No fees, but do have to ship and conduct business via PM. Usually have nationwide exposure and broader customer base than Craigslist. Collection buyers- Great way to off load large group of kits but be prepared to sell cheaply. There is a guy here in Charlotte that buys collections (I have sold him some kits at shows) and his target acquisition price is $8-10 per kit. Most are likely at that price or even below. Hobby shows- best way to sell, deal with people directly and no shipping. Given the current environment, might be six months before they resume but be on the lookout and get a table. Best bet is to organize your collection, inventory it and make notes - sealed, open but complete, parts kit, etc- and determine what you want to do. If you deal with a collection buyer they are going to want to know what you have and what condition its in. Some might want to buy certain parts of it- truck, muscle car, sealed , etc. and having it in a spreadsheet so you can sort it accordingly will only make it easier for everyone. Good luck, I have done several purges over the years and selling at a show netted me the most money, but that was before I became active with FB groups. More money to be made on FB, more work though.

was at michaels store today
mikemodeler replied to route66modeler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
20% off an $18 model is $3.60, so for about $16 you could walk out with a model, not bad. And if the Michael's store will take the HL 40% off, you're talking about a kit for $12! -
Will we ever see the Monogram S-10 again?
mikemodeler replied to Jim H.'s topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
The recent AMT 96 Sonoma kit has a stock suspension and engine and from my early mock up, seems to be a suitable replacement for the AWD chassis and turbo engine. One could possibly kit bash both kits and come up with a "second gen Syclone" if so desired. -
So Mayhew tools are made in the USA and they have something you might be looking for. Check this set out, might be able to buy pieces individually, might find something else on their site. https://mayhew.com/product/13097-17-34-6-pc-progrip-hose-pick-set/ They make a bunch of different length pry bars too, might be what you end up going with. Check with Lowes or Home Depot, they have long pry bars if you are wanting it quickly.

'68-72 Chevy PickUp rummors about reissue?
mikemodeler replied to Sergey's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
So December/January we see the Racers Wedge with the option to build the pickup and I think the Coca Cola version of just the pickup is set for January/February, so options abound for those that have waited for this truck to come back. I'd be willing to bet the Coke pickup kit makes it to Hobby Lobby. -
As simple as it seems, I am sure there are reasons why some of these kits have not been seen in years. If you have ever had to build a business plan for a project, you understand what seems to be an easy, no brainer subject can become quite difficult to execute. Rest assured the model companies are in business to make money and they no longer have the number of retail outlets in which to sell their product, so they have to plan differently these days.

I have to get that Desert Rat van out of the stash and onto the "To be built" shelf. Nice bunch of vans, remember when they were they rage in the 70's, both in models and 1:1 .

That scratchbuilt wrecker bed looks good. Where did you find the yellow resin arms, haven't seen those around. Squads by Tony has some nice beacons to make that look period correct, great product and fast service. As for chain, I have found some decent stuff in the craft sections at Hobby Lobby and Michaels. Different colors and sizes and usually a package will last a while.

Looks like a great start, the colors sound perfect. The side trim looks good, what size did you use to create it? I have plans to do one of these like that but haven't figured out what size to go with. -

How has your experience been with the Pace Super Mini? I am looking to get one and can't seem to find a better bargain than the mini plus for $250 shipped. -

Nice review, although I don't recall the truck having multiple alternators as Tim kept calling them out! I think he struggled with some of the nomenclature, maybe he was nervous being on camera. Great kit, wish it had the stock front suspension and stock engine options, hoping the 3D and resin guys address that and also maybe some grilles to make other years. A bench seat would be nice, 2 of the 3 1:1 S-10s I owned had a bench.

Interesting how a company half a world away is doing some modern domestic pick up kits. Would be great to see a GM pick up too!

Will we ever see the Monogram S-10 again?
mikemodeler replied to Jim H.'s topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
The Syclone and Typhoon were GMC's foray into performance vehicles. The Syclone had a very low load capacity and was designed to be the type of truck you hauled a set of golf clubs in. I am bothered by the fact that Chevy never offered an AWD S-10 and the components in the kit make it hard to represent a 4wd version without some work. Add in the turbo and it's really offputting. I will make mine as close to the 1:1 trucks I owned and go from there. -

They do, I just got a couple. They need some clean up to be presentable but better than nothing! -
Selling Car Model Kits on eBay
mikemodeler replied to dwdirks's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've always been intrigued by eBay. I have surfed it many times and been tempted to buy, but never have. A few years ago I sold off several hundred kits via local shows and while I may have been able to get a few dollars more on the internet, selling them in person, collecting the cash on the spot and not having to hassle with listing and shipping them was worth it. I have heard that eBay fees are rising and its getting more cumbersome to deal with the process. Out of curiosity, if one was to sell a kit for say $30 plus shipping, what would they net after fees? Are the fees based on a percentage of the selling price or is it set amount (flat fee)? I have seen more people listing on FB sites and seem to do okay, avoiding the eBay fees and using PayPal for payment. -

That is very nice and well detailed! Love the color choices and how the snowmobile is painted to match. -

Those tires from Scenes Unlimited definitely look better the kit tires. Danny has a lot of options for tires in that size and they are all very nice. Just a warning, in checking his website he has posted he is swamped with orders so some patience is needed if you do place an order. -

A builder here by the forum name RepStock built a Ryder van similar to what you are looking to do. You may want to private message him and ask him for pointers on how he built his. -
