Thanks for the comments. The blanket is just a piece of an old flannel shirt folded and put on the bench with Elmer's glue.

Had some fun with this reissue trying to make it look tattered. Added some scratch-made things to the parts supplied. Can't see them very well due to my bad photography.

Always liked this car and as I recall I had problems with it too. Your model looks good to me despite your troubles.

I broke the carafe on my old coffee maker I had for years. Try finding a replacement and if you do, the cost is ridiculous. So I shopped for a new coffee maker and had to look through all the fancy ones as pointed out above. Finally settled on a cheap Black & Decker that has a capacity of 3 cups and nothing fancy about it. On/off switch. My wife doesn't drink coffee so this is fine for me.

Your finished model looks good. It's too bad there were parts that didn't fit as a kit like this is all about the detail workings of the engine.

Great job on the weathering! Often times this type of painting is harder to do than a good shiny paint job to look realistic but you did it very well.

I could watch these trains for hours. Knowing the time that went into laying the track, etc. is equal to the talent model builders have. Always wanted a Z scale train but seems they're hard to find in this country.

Like the others, I didn't know there were kits of this. Only have seen diecasts. Great job on a very different model.
