  1. That's pretty sharp looking. Better than any real Lark I've seen.
  2. A very nice looking model! Great extra detail.
  3. Only got a couple of hours sleep last night because of the wind. I HATE wind and need quiet when I sleep. It was windy all day yesterday, all night and still windy today. The noise combined with me being mad about it just doesn't allow me to relax and sleep so got out of bed about 12:40 am today and went out to the garage to work on models. Listen to Sirius radio but still have the wind noise buffeting the garage door. I did realize with the lack of sleep I didn't mind doing simple model work such as sanding and scraping.
  4. Amazing! Beautiful wood working!
  5. Always liked this car and I like your model of it too.
  6. That looks great! I enjoy the older racers and look forward to seeing your Talbot Lago when done.
  7. Looks like a simple kit that you're making into a realistic piece. Nice work!
  8. I watch rugby now and then and watched some yesterday morning and enjoy the non-stop action which football definitely isn't which is why I don't watch it. Well, there are many other reasons but that's another story. Auto racing is my first love followed closely by hockey. Again, I need non-stop action.
  9. I like this. The ride height really looks good. Nice job.
  10. We've had these rescue dogs a little over a year now and they've settled in nicely. Vinny and Buddy are good pals.
  11. Your model looks real sharp! Nice work.
  12. That poor F40. Can't tell what that is all over it but it's beyond dust. We have similar tastes in our favorite exotic cars. The Ferrari 250 was always my favorite until the F40 came along.
  13. Looks great! Your camo and weathering are just right.
  14. Nice job on a fantasy car! Looks good. I don't know how anyone can build a model this fast. I'm SLOW.
  15. Let's hope the Issue #222 mailing fiasco was a one time deal. The USPS had their fun, now they need to do the job right!
  16. T-34. A Russian movie with subtitles. An intense action filled story about a Russian tank crew fighting the Germans in WW2. Was on the edge of my seat most of the time and once I got used to reading the subtitles I was fine with it. They did a great job giving you lots of in-tank views that added to the drama. Kind of reminded me of Das Boot (German version) and what it's really like inside the machine.
  17. Credit card fraud. Yesterday I was alerted to some suspicious activity and sure enough there were a couple of bogus expensive charges so I called and we had the card cancelled. I'm thankful for the alert but what a hassle. This has happened many years ago so we'll get a replacement card and move on. The wife and I are careful but with so many online purchases these days it can happen even though we use the same merchants that we trust.
  18. I don't watch football but from what I see from headlines and read about football I have to blame the media. They're obsessed with her and can't seem to report on a Kansas City game without saying something.
  19. A very good looking model! I could never finish a model in 24 hours.
  20. 1/8th scale! Wow! Great looking model of one of my all time favorite drivers.
  21. That car looks ready to go! Very nice model of one of my favorite cars.
  22. Looked at the page included with my order again and it says - "Due to a number of factors we are bringing Scale Equipment Ltd., as we know it, to a close over the course of 2024."
  23. Just got a small order from Scale Equipment Ltd. and there was a notice included that sounds like they will be quitting business. I hope I understood it right but it said they are making items on order requests, not keeping items in stock. I've done business with them off and on for years and hate to see them go. Letting you know in case you want something, you better not procrastinate.
  24. Decided to watch this even though the subject probably wouldn't interest me but I was curious. Very entertaining and sad. I'm guessing if this guy was to question each of those shops on their "fails" they wouldn't understand why it has to be perfect. Close enough is the motto these days.
