  1. Nice work and colour. Not a car that was seen much over this side of the Pond, in fact, I don't think I have ever seen a real one. Would I be right in thinking that, from the comments made here, the real thing was not as bad as it was made out to be? Thanks steve
  2. I agree about his comments and attitude Didn't he mention something about moving house sometime this year? Could be he's busy with that. steve
  3. That is not just a car, it is an automotive artwork. steve
  4. The PV 544 is one of the few Volvos I actually like The other one is the 1800ES. steve (Saab fan!)
  5. It's actually a (1971) Transit Series 1...just with big arches and a new running gear. steve
  6. The UK's Driver and Vehicle Licencing Authority are very vigilant about not letting rude or anti-social letter combinations appear on number plates. Although it can happen that some "interesting" ones do get through. The most famous of all being PEN 1S that has been owned by various people and on a range of different cars. I think that one of them was an E Type. steve
  7. The UK is much the same as Pierre quotes in Sweden. The driving licence conditions are also the same. Pass in a manual, drive either. Only ever owned manuals. No desire to have an automatic unless I'm forced to for health reasons. Wife feels the same. Drove an automatic Ford Granada hire car once and nearly put myself through the windscreen when I thought I could use my left foot on the brake... steve
  8. Here's a comment. My uncle had a Mk 9 that was two-tone black over grey with brown leather upholstery. Registration no FCK 90. This would have been in the early 1960s... steve
  9. Spent just about all day at a seaside holiday park looking at and eventually purchasing a mobile home for weekends away and such... Wife, daughter and grandchildren happy. steve
  10. Came out a lot better than my attempt 30 years ago! steve
  11. Lovely aircraft and great to see it's flying again. I remember seeing them at London Airport/Heathrow when I was an aircraft spotter in 1960s. steve
  12. At the garage in my village. John the mechanic and garage owner said it been stored for 7 years and "need a bit of work". Rare vehicle in North Yorkshire! steve
  13. I've been using cheap make up for weathering on model railway models for some time and it works fine. I also use the Tamika palettes for it with what I think are acceptable results. steve
