  1. I'll post a pic later today (Friday). I missed the sale too. I paid 139 bucks for the kit. My opinion.......worth every penny I spent on it.
  2. If you're a N.Y. Giants fan, that's already happened.
  3. Well, Oct. 25th has come and gone. No announcement from Atlantis on its homepage or blog, Facebook or anywhere else.
  4. Ditch them Molotow pens. I received the 2 oz. kit today and tested it (brushed) on an dechromed AMT '58 Impala rear bumper. Works exactly as advertised, doesn't rub off and looks great. Excellent coverage. A little bit will go a long way using an airbrush and following the directions. Using a black primer/basecoat will impart a deeper color.
  5. My patience isn't the issue. I'm very patient. I've waited for other things for far longer periods of time. I won't get into it here; but, you know what my alleged issue is. Thank you anyway.
  6. Y'know sumpthin'? I asked you months ago to put me down for one. I also sent Greg a PM stating the same thing. Never heard back from either of you regarding the price or availability. Cool. Now I have extra money to spend elsewhere.
  7. Ditto. I'm a born and bred city rat. Living someplace where the sidewalks are rolled up at sundown, or which would require driving miles to get something as mundane as a gallon of milk, ain't my church. Heh, that's chump change around here. According to the NYC Dept. of Taxation & Finance, $50-100K qualifies as the bottom end of low middle income. $170-200K barely puts one in the middle class bracket. Everything is expensive. One has to be either extremely wealthy or dirt poor to get along here. The middle class working slob is stuck in the middle, screwed out of every available dime that the alphabet agencies can pull out of his pockets. That said, I wouldn't trade places with anyone living in comfortable, cozy Culdesacia.
  8. Depends on where you live. Cost of living, tax liabilities etc. can eat that up quickly. One can't find a mediocre house for that in my neighborhood anymore.
  9. I'll buy the north end of me neighborhood, evict all of the interloping transplants, raze every single dystopian, glass-faced, high rent hipsterrarium hi-rise constructed in the last 15 years and have real affordable low rent housing built for the neighborhood. I might have enough left over for a slice and soda to celebrate.
  10. Are you using two-part epoxy dispensed from a syringe applicator? You need to get as close to a 1:1 ratio of resin and hardener as possible. The only way to do that is by placing the cap over the hole for each part and squeeze an equal amount of each separately. Don't try to be cheap with the amount of resin/hardener, either. There is always a significant amount of waste involved. attempting to use minute quantities will prevent the mixture to catalyze properly, leaving you with a gooey mess, as you have now.
  11. Isn't that part of the Barkley ranch from "Big Valley"?
  12. Thanks for clearing up the mystery, Steve. Those parts are actually cleaner than the pics would indicate. They're the few flash-free items on those trees. I didn't feel like pulling out my Canon; so, I used my son's phone to photograph them.
  13. I've got five Johan '62 Plymouth Furys and Dodge Darts: two Dodge Dart convertibles, one Fury convertible and one each Fury and Dart Hardtops. Both hardtops and one Dart convertible are unbuilt. The chrome trees for the unbuilt kits all have a pair of parts which I can't identify: A closer look: Even closer: They look like hood ornaments. The area around the centers is open (no plastic). They aren't identified on any of the instruction sheets, either. I've been searching through images of actual cars for any sign of these but haven't seen them. Does anyone know what they are?
  14. Get an industrial-grade wood chipper. Hiring a divorce attorney will eat through that jackpot in no time flat.
  15. Well, cancel that potato, peppers and egg hero order. I'll try another thread.
  16. I got all six numbers in the Mega Millions drawing last night. I'll trade you the ticket for what's in the box.
  17. Hey, you can't prove I said that.
  18. A pint can of Sci-Grip Weld-On 4 Acrylic Solvent. 18 bucks. Cheaper by volume than the one and two ounce bottled stuff. Johan Fire Rescue Ambulance Got this more for the lower control arms than anything else I'll make copies for other '63-'66 Johan Caddys which I plan to replace the kit chassis with modded Revellogram '59/'60 versions. I had to scratch a set from photos and it was a royal pain.
  19. It ain't that hard.
  20. And beauty pageant contestant. That's how she paid her college tuition.
  21. Morgan Ortagus.........YOW!
  22. Manufacturers Hanover had a series of "Anycar" car loan ads in the 1970s. The first two Anycars were designed by Gene Winfield. The third was a George Barris creation:
  23. I'm waiting to hear back about another 300 I was interested in, Carl. If it works out, I'll let you know and we could do some horse trading.
  24. PM me, Steve. Maybe we can work something out.
