  1. Where di you find the skoda? and is it 1/24? I've only got the recent belkits rally car though I have been thinking about a resin 110
  2. I tend to mostly build slammed stuff as thats what I'm into. I enjoy scratching the airbags and stuff to make it plausible but often I'll leave them out if they woint be seen. I have done stuff that isn't slammed on the floor but I grew up with a variety of modified car mags, from hotrod through to max power with pretty much everything in between. It probably doesn't help that the first mod I've done on all my cars is how low can i get it and still have it drive. Theres a phrase in the vw scene, If it aint rubbin you aint dubbin
  3. If the trim is molded on the body just mask off after paint with decent tape, then hit it with some matt/satin black
  4. It looks better in your pics than the ones revell released. Do you happen to have a pic looking inside from the back? I'm planning to build mine with a suburu engine when they arrive and just trying to plan ahead for it
  5. no idea mate but i'm in the orkney isles so it wasn't it
  6. could be, the beach around me is covered in it after a shipwreck a couple hundred years ago
  7. I've been on many britten norman islander aircraft and experienced some extremely short take offs and landings, usually in muddy fields. One of my usual flights is a the worlds shortest commercial flight, lasting less than a minute. We also had a vintage plane land at our vintage rally one year and it seemed to stop before it landed.
  8. Its on glass, I tried some old purple roof slate around the same time but found glass easier.
  9. I have 4 terrabytes of music so i play it on shuffle through my soundsystem and I'll have a slideshow of 1/1s of the build playing.
  10. I found a couple of old etchings I did more than 20 years ago today. Not sure why my sisters iphone decided to warp them a little
  11. I've had some of the ultra chrome turn black on me. It polishes up again though with non abrasive metal polishes (abrasive leaves scratches). I think as long as the glue is still good you should be able to polish it up and use it
  12. oh that looks very nice, if i built biggger scales I would save up for it
  13. That wont be a problem mate, the tamiya bug chassis should fit and I have loads of nicer wheels than the ones pictured on the box
  14. Very cool builds guys. Russell, your backwards bug reminds me of something I have planned for a build. I think its a rendering or maybe even a model
  15. Italeri rereleased the transit short ago in police and gas liveries. There's also the vw bay window bus just been released in europe ( snap kit but judging by the revell tractors it wont be that noticable) I think jimmy flintstone does some resin vans too but they might be earlier body styles
  16. The revell 50 ford custom pick up has some nice ardun heads and some other bits in it, and i think the 48 ford custom kit also has some speed parts
  17. Man thats tiny. I can send you some horse hair if you want to wire the engine, lol
  18. Nice selection of cars there, thanks for sharing
  19. The local vintage club are having a road run today. Some of the cars stopped outside so I grabbed mums ipad to get pics of them. There were a load more that didn't stop including the oldest original model t in the uk. The black lagonda is a big car and it sounded very smooth with that slight hiss sound cars of this era make. The old fergie tractor wasn't part of the run, its still a work tractor
  20. I dont know what type of phone you have but you should be able to email the pics to yourself and get them on the computer that way mate
  21. You guys have some pretty neat veedubyas
  22. I wouldn't use the dremell, a razor saw/pe saw will cut much closer and you'll have more control.
  23. Have a look at any of Stephen Gunthmiller's build threads and you'll find the answer you need (appologies if I spelt the name wrong)
  24. Since there's been threads for other types I thought I would start one for volkswagen group cars. Post anything from vw, audi, seat, skoda, porsche, lamborghini, man, ducati etc. If its part of the vw family feel free to post it. I'll start with my vw hebmuller. Its built from the bestmodelcarparts resin kit with a tamiya donor and some highlight model studio pe and a coupke of scratch built battered cases Next is a diolex transkit mk3 golf wagon on scale production wheels followed by a c1 old n new porsche I have a load more but I'm more interested in seeing yours in any build style. As long as its vw based so alternative bodies over vw chassis is ok too
