Matchbox using smaller blister cards for their models?
stitchdup replied to peteski's topic in Diecast Corner
it what the shops want. the smaller size means they can get 3 rows where they used to get 2 so can display more of them. you still get the larger size sometimes when there are free standing displays or a special edition. -
1937 Cord 812 Custom with Audi R8 v8 Engine
stitchdup replied to carl63_99's topic in WIP: Model Cars
very cool and custom, and very very close to an idea i haven't got around to yet. honestly the only difference is i was going to use a pagani engine and box! -
your drip rails and straight edges will work better if you print the body at an angle. the printers struggle with edges parrallel to the print plate and a bit of angle avoids it. it will take longer to print but flat edges will turn out better

It is being looked at but its not affecting everyone, and some are only affected intermitently. If it was affecting everyone it would be easier to find the cause but as it is now its like trying to find a grain of salt in a bag of sugar. If you could note when it happens in this thread it all helps Dave investigate it. the info that helps is time, time zone, the thread you were posting in, operating system and web browser.

vintage air raid sirens make great collectibles and still work

the admiral builds up nice but you should probably do a heller or euro truck kit first. the icm kits are multi piece everything and if a part is not in its exact, yet unclear from the instructions spot, it wont fit together. you can assemble the body before paint but it means gluing the front inner fenders to the outer fenders then very carefully removing the outer fenders from the rest of the body. Its best to follow the body assembly instructions up to the fenders as again even a slight mis alignment will cause problems later. Its also a big kit when its built, almost an inch and a half longer than the similar age monogram 39 chevy but they have lots of detail and a careful read through of the instructions can let you assemble most parts in advance to make it more like the car kits we're used to

I believe the molds are still around. theres loads of these kits on european ebay sites from various smaller manufacturers (or at least not very common brands). I'm sure i've seen boxes with 3 kits in recently

2025 Cannonball Run - 50 years since the 1975 run.
stitchdup replied to Mattilacken's topic in Community Builds
made a little progress on the engine. the esi/italeri kits are missing a lot of parts such as the alternator, water intake and fuel system so i used a mix of printed and scratched parts to create these. I've also swapped chassis as i was well outside the 1974 period. On the replacement chassis i have added extra bracing underneath and run some 3mm box along the inside to add strength to the shell as there is no seperate chassis. next up is another cage, opening up the trunk area on the chassis and more engine work. the engine set back should make this handle like a go cart and mean theres no need for a big spoiler on the back -
The m3 looks to be the fujimi kit. they even used the fujimi box art for the pic

Bucket T frame in 1/16th?
stitchdup replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
the member Meat Man offers files for 3d printing a t frame. No brackets or that included but he gives the file away on cults free -
c1 have released transkits for the italeri escort kits and they look great. There appear to be 2 versions of the standard car, early and late model and also a wide body x pack version. Being c1 the quality will be excellent. They aren't on the c1 site yet but they are on ebay now. I know british folk will go mad for this kit and i hope c1 do some other versions of the escort in the future. I know i'll be getting a couple at least

fujimi do a great garage set with tools, lifts and garage stuff. if you have access to 3d printing there is heaps of stuff available.

you can get them to bring you gifts if you feed them regularly. it doesn't take long to get them to eat from your hand but they will take the huff if you miss a time.

i think that just really dirty exhaust wrap to protect the glass, which leads me to believe its rarely run as the glass is just too clean.

to be safe you should trade in for a bmw. the blinkers seem to be optional so should be safe, lol

after waiting nearly 2 weeks for my alcohol to arrive, it turns out nobody had the thought to check the lids were tight before boxing and shipping, then just to add to the nonsense the delivery driver left the very obviously leaking flammable liquid next to my heater. still the bottles and bubble wrap is very clean....
