  1. Sorry, don't know what happened there. The computer shop I use tells me my 10 year old Dell is on it's last legs so??? Anyway, here's the link I was trying to post. The link Geoff posted is to an '80s reissue. Here's a link to the original issue https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/chevrolet/1951-1960/amt-57-chevrolet-2-/
  2. That's pretty sweet Gary. I've been a fan of your cars for years.
  3. Gareth, Here's a link to a page with instruction sheet from the original release. You may find it intresting. You'r build is looking good. Hard to go wrong with red and white. ?
  4. I've used it. Works great but much too expensive for something I only use about 10% of before it hardens up. Last time I just bought the smallest tin of lightweight body filler I could find. The tin hold about 1/2 a cup.
  5. Wasn't this the last reissue of it? from 2002? I know the turbine wheels were in the '70s and '80s reissues. It shows all the parts on the box and in the instruction sheet. The pic I posted above is from the same box. Was there a reissue between this one and the one with Godzilla?
  6. I made the boots by cutting lengths if material at 45 degree angles and mating them up on the plug wires. The wire itself is some from scaleproshop.com Nice stuff. has just the right "gravity" to it to hold it's shape but still stay a bit soft and springy. I highly recommend it. Here's a little photo how-to on the plug boots. I learned this years ago, can't remember who showed me how to do it now. https://public.fotki.com/SteveMilberry/projects/90-degree-plug-boot/#media
  7. I don't mind you asking but it was done around 20 years ago and the bottle's long gone.?
  8. It shows them on the side illustration.
  9. I'm using the "resto rod" engine from that issue of the AMT '66 Galaxie with the valve covers from the '69 Galaxie donor kit. Nice of them to include a complete spare engine in those kits. This one looks to be a 428 but it's kinda hard to tell for sure.
  10. Made a little progress on this one. The front clip just needs a little more filler. I also received a spare hood today so I'll be able to swap between clear and body color hoods.
  11. They're in some of the reissues of the MPC '50s era Jeep, including the current one with the Godzilla artwork and the one from a few years ago.
  12. Seen my first C8 about a month ago here in Fredericton. It was about the same blue I did my T/A in. Can't wait to see what you do with this one Izzy. I've always enjoyed watching your work.
  13. OK, here's an easy one for either AMT or Revell. , , AND it's a show that's on TV right now !! ?? All they'd need to add to the kit is the licence plates and a set of narrow white walls.
  14. Super cool. Incredibly clean chop on that top !! ?
  15. Looks great. Love those big old '70s cars.
  16. Those 1/32 kits have been reissued a bunch of times with different artwork. I'm afraid they're not especially rare, just not popular as anyone wanting a '63 T-bird would usually want it in 1/25 scale. As for value ,, hard to say. Definitely not what an AMT annual 1/25 would go for.
  17. OOPS,, sorry, just re-read the text and see it's actually blue,, still looks great !
  18. For a simple kit, they sure look good finished ,, especially in black. ???
  19. The '65 glass won't work, completely different. '62 Thunderbird windshield "might" fit. IIRC, they were the same glass on the real cars. '65 tail light lenses might fit, I used a set on a '64. They were changes made through the run of the body style including a wheelbase change so not all parts interchange. What parts besides the glass do you need? . . As a side note ,, I have a '62 I'm looking for front and back bumpers and the rear grille for if anyone has those parts they could trade.
  20. Eh, Looks close to me but what do I know. BTW, Old MPC '78 Vette body with Revell '68 Vette chassis/interior bucket, front wheels and tires on this mockup are what came in the Revell Baldwin Motion Vette. Same outside diameter as the tires in the 1/24 BelAir kit.
  21. These are the only ones I know of that has the spokes going all the way to the hub and bolt detail in the spokes. Model Car Garage has a couple different sets of wheel spinners, one set is the same as the ones in the pics. You'll just need to find decals for the spinners or just paint the center of then yellow.
  22. Closest ones I know of are in the old Monogram 1/24 '53 Chevy BelAir. The spokes go all the way to the hub but just not as many spokes and they're a bit shallow for the rears.
  23. I'm thinking an orange/peach kinds fade for mine Snake. I think I mentioned that in our e-mails. How about a full-on peach scheme? Classic "Jade Idol" green fade would look good. Light blue to dark purple is also another one I've been thinking might look good on one of these. But if I wasn't doing mine in orange tones, it would be organic yellow-green shades.
  24. Like the header says, this is gonna be a version of the custom Impala shown on the AMT '65 annual box art. Another "long term" project. I will also be taking a few libertys with the design along the way such as a chopped top and a few other little changes. I'm using an old forlorn Revell Impala given to me many years ago. The custom parts were generously donated by Snake. [Thanks again Snake ???] Not a lot of progress yet besides cutting off the front clip and glueing on the bottom 1/2 of the custom clip. The top 1/2 had to be narrowed slightly by making a couple relief cuts and glueing the gaps closed. Love the clear custom hood but I'd still like to have another one to paint along with the body so I could swap then around. So, if anyone has an old one they don't need in any shape, maybe we could work something out?
