Howard, what's the date and time of the last post you see on the board? -
The real question is Casey, if they had white lines, could you see them? [wasn't gonna go there but,,,, figured you can take a little ribbing]
-
I used this stuff to make headlight lenses over 4 years ago and they're still clear, no yellowing.

Looks great, but are you sure those wheels are the 20"? [Pegasus only makes 19 and 23 ] look more like the 23" ones to me.

Yup, says so right there. Still couldn't find any pics in the brochures of one with black wall tires. BTW, showing a Canadian a GIF of shinia twain is just rude.
-
I just took a quick look through the '77 and '78 brochures, pretty well all the light pickups have white walls. White letter for the sportier models and 4X4s. The only black wall tires I'm seeing are on 3/4 ton and heavier work trucks. Remember, it was pretty hard to find a car or light duty pickup tire that didn't have a whitewall back in the '70s. Even the very cheapest vehicles came with them standard.

Casey, I think you need another cup of coffee, buddy. Those are the "recall wheels" right there on the left side of the chrome tree and the white stripes are there below the black ones.

'63 Oldsmobile 98 Tail Lights?

Are you looking into making the Astorian, Niko? -
One kit I'd like to have another crack at was the 1/12 Otaki Mustang Mach1 A birthday present from my father when I was 6 or 7. Being the version with the electric motor in the engine block and working lights, it was way beyond me at the time. I see them come up on the bay occasionally but I can't justify the price. Last one I seen on there a couple weeks ago was twice what I paid for my 1/1 Trans Am. It's been reissued a few times by Arii and Doyousha but without the lights and motor, just not the same.

The look of the headlights can be improved a lot by simply putting in bigger lights. I made the openings larger with a round file and made new surrounds with thin sheet plastic. Then you just need the right size headlight lenses and reflectors . Still a bit too wide apart but much better, I think. -
Cool that you collect radios. I have one, but it's a good one. [not my pic but mine is in as good of shape or a bit better]

Man ! I'm lovv'n that. Looks like more than a little 1st gen Eldorado in that design.

Kinds had the same thing happen with my '69 Riviera. Just got the car around Christmas and it was cold! Couldn't get much heat. The following spring I found that the cable going from the controls to the door that controls if you get heat or cold had kinked. Moved fine at the controls but only opened the heat door about an inch. That was a cold ride on a -30 night.

Mike, I used to work at an auto glass shop, I know how it works. ,, and yes, I have had lots of rocks hit my windshields.
-
Actually, I do that all the time Snake. Always have and I've been driving for over 35 years now, never had that happen. What kind of car was it? Must have had one heak of a heater.

Actually Bill, those "wrong" drawings are from the carblueprints site also.

That's fine. I suspect he could have said it in a better way like you did Bill. But, anyway, as they say "Live and learn".

Sorry I posted. Just trying to be helpful, I'll try to remember not to do it again.

I've not tried it but I do know the AMT kit is considerably narrower than the Revell kit. One for an AMT '68 Elcamino might fit better. It looks closer to the width of the Revell kit.

Ferrari Rainbow kits; best accuracy?
Can-Con replied to aurfalien's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
That's all new, from a master made from scratch. This guy does incredible work but I hope you have deep pockets if you want to buy one of his kits. I'd love to have one of his 308GT4 s but it's way out of my price range.. Here's a link. http://smp24modelcars.blog.fc2.com/ -

Can-Con replied to Maindrian Pace's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
No, it's for the AMT '69 Chevelles. When I did the tail lights 14 or 15 years ago, there was no thoughts of Revell ever doing a Chevelle. There will be a '68 conversion kit coming, I'll be doing the parts but I'm having a problem getting the new Revell kit here in Canada. If I ordered one from the States, with shipping and exchange rate on the bucks plus maybe taxes and duty, I'm looking at over $65.00 CDN or more. I'm gonna have to wait. Mike tells me there's no hurry.
