The 400 IS a small block. I had one in a '72 Station Wagon. Miserable Engine. 2 Barrel Carb only and totally gutless on the topend. But It had gobs of torque. Smoke most Factory 350's off the line, then ran out of steam, about 5 seconds later. The 350 would beat me to the next stoplight every time. https://itstillruns.com/small-block-chevy-400-specs-7350617.html

Dennis, that looks Great. I can see a need for Resin Copies of those Revell Front Tires, real soon. There are going to be a lot of those front Halibrands in spares boxes, wanting them.

Indeed! A Happy Thanksgiving to everybody on the board!

When I go to the Hot Rod Reunion at Famoso, I notice that many of the 'modern' rebuilds of older Dragsters, have a much more Chrome or Highly Polished parts, than they did 'back in the day'. Not Sure why. Since many of them are just Cacklefest Showpieces, that might be the reason. So, don't feel bad, Jim. You did nothing wrong.

1/25 AMT 1963 Chevy II Station Wagon with Trailer

Thanks, Chris, your timing is perfect. -
Gas Dryer. About 15 years old No changes to my laundry routines. Screen has been washed several times. I've not put anything on the screen. Even after washing, the lint still sticks. I have not tried Dawn. I will. Thanks!
-
The lint now sticks to my screen, and won't peel off cleanly. Any thoughts? PAM and WD-40 seem messy and flammable.

Thanks Tony. He had a big bath today. He really enjoys them. It is the last one he'll get for sometime. It is getting too cold to let him have more. Wet Parrots look absolutely miserable, poor things. He's drying off now and having peanuts.

Man, Sharp Builds. The Z Car and the Ferrari are simply superb! -
Our vet assured us that he is not in pain, and the next closest Avian vet is in Los Angeles. Not going that far down, right now. But It may come to that. I think part of it is that he most likely lived for many years in one place, with a set routine. He is not there anymore, and the new routines from our house, are still not a good fit for him. He has good days, and bad days. Today should be better. Besides, tomorrow he gets leftover Turkey. (Yes, parrots will eat small bites of meat)

The Group 'W' bench. I'll never forget that.....

They even use the same wheels.

My Dang Amazon Parrot bit me again today. I'm told that you are not a "real Parrot Owner" until they've bitten you. Second time in two months he's bitten me. I think I'm going to change how I interact with him. Less hands on, more verbal. He gets lonely when I'm at work, but then wants to 'chew' on me when I get home. I like him, but there is SO much to learn about owning a Parrot. Especially a medium to big bird like my Amazon. I've had him now for over 6 months. He is a rescue bird, his old owner passed away. He is between 32-35 years old, and we have no idea what his previous life looked like. So, everything is a guess. He whistles, and makes a loud variety of chirps and calls, but he has not talked. To judge by U-Tube Video's only some are natural calls. The other noises he learned, but we have no idea what the mean (or meant). He has suffered neurological damage to one of his legs, so he has some difficulty getting around. The rescue, Well Meaning but not very educated, had his wings clipped. They were done badly so, it will take another few months before he can get all of his feathers back. We can see his wings getting better, and the feathers growing back, but it is a slow process. He is not a bad bird, just an older, crippled one. I have great compassion for him, but sometimes he frustrates me. I just have so much to learn.

Ah, thanks, Gerry. That looks like that might indeed, Be "it". If so, not a thing I'll need.

Information on Monogram's Exotics Series

Thanks for the history, Bob! I too really hope that Atlantis has these molds. I believe in today's market, Atlantis could sell them as 2'n'1 kits and really do well. The ones I built went together Sooooo Smoothly. They were just great shelf models. -

I wonder where the molds are for these kits are now. That Merc 450 Sl/Rallye and the little Capri II/ Group II would be great to have. The Triumph too. The others have options from other manufacturers, but those are just really sharp kits. I had the Midnite Capri. Wish I had another. So-So Car, but a great kit. They should all be popular, as 2'n'1s. -
Wild Wheels? I wonder which wheels have been chosen to "Wild"? Could be a nice parts pack, however.

Hello, Round2. After the Phenomenal Success, of the Ramp Bed ' Chevy, and the Coke Collector '72 also, can you look for the tooling for the Rolling Thunder version, please? Since it only came out once as far as I can tell, it is another rare version of the truck. It has some features that just have not made it into the AMT derived parts of the current '72 kits. The Custom Heavy Duty, Chromed Front and Rear Bumpers, custom grille, and the unique bed and sleeper box, set it apart from the AMT mashup that is in production now. It shares it's chassis plate, cab, and engine with the mythical (and Holy Grail-ish, Cooter's Tow Truck), but the bed assemblies are totally different between the two kits. I really like the Mesh Air Cleaner and Chromed 327 specific valve covers that the 2 kits share as well. Here are the two trucks directions to compare and contrast. Rolling Thunder: https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/mpc-instructions/big-rigs-trailers--/mpc-rolling-thunder1/?view=roll#1 Cooter's Tow Truck: https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/mpc-instructions/tv--movie/mpc-cooters-tow-truck/?view=roll#1 and the original MPC Chevy: https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/mpc-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/chevrolet/1961-1970/mpc-1968-chevy-cust/?view=roll#1 You can see the optional Fancy Grille and "Buzzard Bar" Grille Guard, as well as how many parts from the '68 carried over into Cooter's Truck. Lastly, the 1970 version with the unique Fire Brush Pumper parts: https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/mpc-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/chevrolet/1961-1970/mpc-1970-chevy-pickup/?view=roll#1 I believe there is an enormous amount of potential in this kit. By choosing bed parts, wheels. bumpers, and grilles there are a number of Light Commercial, Custom and Stock options in this tooling. There are 4 bed variants, (Stock, Sleeper Cab Stepside, and the Tow Truck/ Fire Pumper options that share many parts.) At least 3 Front Bumpers (Stock, Heavy Duty Custom, and Push Bar) and as many stock and custom options as can be found. The The Navy Fire Truck and NHRA Safety Decal versions have not been seen again, and lend themselves to seldom seen builds. Lastly, the stock truck lends itself also to a licensed "Ed Roth Shop Truck" variant. And to address the elephant in the room, Cooter's Tow Truck. Since in many eyes the Dukes of Hazzard branding is now semi-toxic, having all the tow truck parts and none of the decals, will allow the hardcore DOH Model to build the Cooter truck just by using aftermarket decals. The rest of the public (30 years removed from the kit/boxart) will not make the connection. All they will see is a cool Tow Truck/ Fire Pumper to compete with the slew of Ford trucks in various body styles coming from other manufacturers. Round2, Please look into this? It might be a good product for you. Alan Alexis

I can't wait for these to hit the shelves. This and the little Mooneyes will look great side by side. -
1/25 AMT Surf Shark 1959 Cadillac Ambulance
stavanzer replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I am wondering if there will be a set of 'Straight' Ambulance decals in this kit, in addition to the Surf Shark markings, or if those will wait for a different version? -
How well would the existing Round2/AMT Model T Ford parts pack, fit the left over Chassis from the New Mooneyes kit? There is a complete chassis in there, since only one pat is used from that whole tree. There is still an extra rear axle on the Mooneyes tree also. You can see the Frame in the Sanitary T Bucket Build on the second half of this decal sheet. https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/544/revell-mooneyes-dragster-sanitary-bucket
